Took the night off from taking notes and watched the game. Glad they decided to sit the vets and let the youngsters get some run. That made this one more enjoyable.

Congrats to THT dropping 40 with 4 steals. The space he had to work with was much improved tonight. If the team wants to bring his value back up, they need to move Russ and get some floor spacing. You can't play THT and Russ on the floor at the same time.

Also props to Dwight on hitting another three. Elite.

Lakers an impressive 4-18 post All Star game.

It was kind of a refreshing change to see the unheralded non-stars playing. Glad you had a chance, DB, to sit back and enjoy the game.

Only saw clips and the post game show

This appears to be the Lakers’ version of the Clips playing without PG13 and Kwahi, playing with energy and execution

Many pundits have stated that Vogel lost this team. Sadly, LBJ might have lost the connection to the veterans. It has been whispered that these “savvy veterans” thought they could coast through the season and just turn on the switch when the playoffs started.

Maybe the “veterans” saw that LBJ was more important than Vogel and Rob. If LBJ is hogging the ball and he doesn’t have confidence in giving them the ball, why move or cut
If Vogel is begging them to execute, but LBJ doesn’t get into their face when they make the same mistakes - why should they care
Maybe the reason why this team has lost big leads could be arrogance

Just thoughts

Or maybe, just maybe, the veterans are really and truly veterans, as in their bodies no longer heal as quickly as when they were young, their heart muscles can't pump blood as fast as they used to, their fast twitch is no longer as twitchy. Occam's razor.
