Picks aren’t a zero sum game!

I was at both the Laker games in the California Classic and man I’m so glad we have (in this order)

- swider
- christie
- pippen jr

Sure christie needs to bulk up but MAN, he’s got the fundamentals: the box outs, the hands, the footwork, and most of all <Phil Jackson’s voice>the basketball IQ</Phil Jackson’s voice>

Sure hope these three don’t become trade bait!

Most efficient ppp out of ALL players in CC and SL, not just the Lakers.

Freaking love this dude. He’s definitely gonna see minutes in the NBA for both his size and shooting alone, on a team full of guards and very little else.

I'm sure in the NBA the opposing coach will stick a defender on him like glue and that will open up the floor for the big boys. He's not a bad defender either and decent rebounder but this is summer league, once the regular season sarts all weaknesses will be exposed. Not sure if he's starter material but this man can definitely shoot the ball!

Might have found ourselves a much taller Duncan Robinson... Good thing about him is his big and tall enough to guard some small C and PF... We can hide him on D better than Duncan.

His height is a big benefit. Nice post Miggz23. There will be a spot for this kid and he could eventually get some minutes.

And that my friend, is what is called gravity.

If you have to guard someone that intensely, you are taking them out of being a help defender on other players. We haven't had that kind of gravity in a while.

His shooting is already NBA level. His defense on the other hand, is nowhere near that. But I'm sure we could hide that a bit. If you put Christie's defense and rebounding with Swider's shooting, that's a star!

If we had a deep team, we could get away with one trick pony players (Swider's shooting and Christie's D) for some scattered minutes. I am torn between which one of these two has more potential. Right now, it looks like Swider although they are both still pups.

In 5 games Swider is 17 for 30 from three point land. 56.6% shooing clip. Yes please.

Love to see it.
A forward version of Matt Thomas.
Can't wait for the Lakers to develop his defense.

Swider is taller, more athletic, higher and quicker release. can make contested shots. obviously it is hard to judge his defense now, but if he plays even a shred of defense, he will be in rotation. Lebron is great with shooters like him.

What impresses about Swider is that the shot he takes and makes, most of them are contested, there’s almost always a body on him.

He also takes 6 threes a game and has converted on 57% of them.

What's smart about him is that he didn't try to take the contested 3 against Thor (or whoever that tall guy on the hornets was).

If Brick is starting this guy is going to have to start regardless of how terrible he is at other parts of the game.

It's just not going to work with brick, bron and AD unless you have guys who can make it rain

that's why i dislike the signing of the spurs player i forgot his name
