Pat bev will go back to guarding guards instead of 6’8/6’9 guys. Unless it’s a steal I’m not trading him and keeping that 1st as well |
I'm not against trading Pat Bev, as he's not a part of the Lakers future plans. And, he's not a "make or break" player for the Lakers, in terms of fighting for a play-in, or playoff, spot.
As for the trade proposed above, I would not deal a frp for any of those players listed. That would be an overpay, imo. |

If one of Wenyen or TBJ gets kicked out of the rotation for Rui, PatBev would still be guarding wings, no? You'd still be playing all of Schroder/Russ/Bev/Reaves/LW4
I think we've gotta make another 2-for-1 move that consolidates our rotation at 10. Add a protected FRP in order to make it a significant upgrade _________________ #18 next... |

U trust brick in a deep playoffs game in 4th qtr? I don’t
The guys that need to traded are Russ, lw4 then Pat bev |

I'm assuming Russ is staying. Seems like there's not a whole lot of noise about him being moved
I agree he needs to play less minutes than he currently is, come playoffs. Particularly with Dennis making some clutch plays as of late _________________ #18 next... |

The same lottery protected 1st round pick in last summer was probably enough for Bojan, or even Grant if we added some 2nd.
Just to show you how bad our front office is |
How does that show that our FO is bad? That they didn't trade for a player that contenders passed on, as well? |
Would Bojan or Grant help this team now? Answer is obvious
Could we make a move with our FRP during the summer? Most likely
Are we looking to trade for a player like Bojan or Grant now with a FRP? Obviously, although the price went up.
Other contenders would make a move if it helps their team, we should’ve done it too. |

I certainly don’t trust Pat Bev either, and since he brings way less than Russ, so he has to be the one on the move first. Russ doesn’t have to play in clutch situations in the playoffs |

It's an interesting discussion as to who's generally more valuable to the team. PatBev's better shooting and defense, or Russ' better shot creation and playmaking
I find it hard to lean either way _________________ #18 next... |

Russ' playmaking because he greatly enhances TB, Austin Reaves, and AD.
Bev's fine but his defense is limited to people who he can adequately defend (like a Dame), but there aren't many people he can adequately defend. |

well what trade could possibly make us "instant" contenders that the other team would "give up' for 2 FRPS??
has to be all-star level 1, 2, 3 or 5. who is even remotely "out there"? |

Maybe there won’t be a blockbuster trade, but I have to think some of these guys have to go. Once reeves and Walker come back I’m not even sure who would get minutes. |

Sit Russ whenever he misses a layup.
Play him when he doesn't. _________________ 💜💛 🏆 👀 🍖 #18!!! |

He just kills momentum with moronic plays or getting layups blocked.
I've liked his defense though.
And Thomas Bryant is so *** on defense. When he's hitting 80% of his shots you don't mind it as much. But when he's pedestrian, you can't play him.
Thankfully AD on the way.
Btw, JTA so worthless. But we had to play him because Nunn was traded and Rui wasn't playing today.
Hopefully Rui and AD play tomorrow. But Lebron might rest. His groin seemed to bother him late in the 4th. _________________ 💜💛 🏆 👀 🍖 #18!!! |

I swear Dennis I hardly watched the game... I knew it was gonna be a tough game and when I decided to turn on the game it was a double digit deficit I basically knew there was no chance |

Agreed. No need to make hasty decisions, that could lead to costly mistakes. Make sensible low key moves to improve around the margins, get healthy, and let the rest of the season play out. Then, during the off season, the Lakers should have a clear idea of who they are, and who they want to be. Go from there. _________________ ZOOM!!!!!!!!!!!! |
