When the current TV deal expires, I would suspect some of the Buss kids may want to cash out. How many is the question and can the others afford to buy them out. 11% ownership per kid does not make any of them financial power brokers since this is where the majority of their income is derived from. It is harder and harder to get a star to come and the legacy and greatness of the franchise will mean less and less to the young bucks. Balmer is going to pull at the market with stupid money and a state of the art facility.

It would be the older group of kids that would want to be bought out. The older 3 (Jim, Johnny, Janie) would probably be all for it now that they're in their twilight years. Despite her being in that age group, I don't see Jeanie wanting to sell. I've bashed her plenty but there's no denying that she's doggedly loyal to both her father's memory and the team in general.

The two youngest kids would probably not want to sell. It's morbid, but it's better financially for them to wait out the older kids and have the team to themselves eventually.

This is all armchair psychology obviously but I can't see all 6 agreeing to it.

Maybe in like 10 years theyll sell.. once we get new ownership with deep pockets i dont think this team will ever really be that bad again, kind of like how the clippers have 13 winning seasons in a row

You may be right. He's coming off a season where he displayed some durability also. So this is absolutely peak AD. Chances are very high he doesn't repeat this type of healthy season next year. But all this predicates on Lebron. If he walks, you trade AD. If he stays, you can't.

I bet we still wouldn't trade AD if lebron left, because of "star power." And my trade AD stance isn't an indictment on him, it just doesn't make sense to keep him when hes 31, and its gonna take a few years to rebuild, theres really no more great players entering free agency, might as well reload assets for the next run

Hayes has been great. he's like the younger version of the 2020 Javale Magee. can jump through the ceiling and active around the rim, what else can you ask for?

Whoever we sign can’t play in playoff? Then promote Castelton

We can sign anyone for the playoffs at any time up until the post season is about to begin if the player is currently a free agent. We just can't sign a player who wasn't waived by the deadline if his team now let's him go.

BTW, Castleton has a busted right wrist, so we'll see when he can suit up again.

Oh ok, guess can’t hurt to grab a Dwight or a Leonard Myers or bump up Giles but this means we have to drop Wood right? (Bad optic but oh well)

Not totally accurate though...a flop would be someone who came in and sucked. Gabe has been hurt all season for one, so we don't know what he could have been.....Wood had decent stretches at times but then found himself on the bench and then hurt....Reddish, the same....had some potential, played decent at times, got hurt....
Prince, as much as some hate him here, he has been serviceable considering he is a relatively low paid player. He plays at both ends of the court and though he may not be perfect, he isn't a lazy player.
Hayes, I disagree totally, I think he has been great at times. I like when he is in the game.
Dinwiddie, the jury is out on him. I think he is a solid ball handler and passer but I find him very passive on the offensive end. I don't think he is washed, I just think he doesn't want to screw up this opportunity and wants to be liked here. I still think he works out....
Just my opinions here....
