Before you. Say Trae young doesn't play defense neither does Reaves, dlo or trash jhs |
You think we can keep Rui and or Vando in this scenario |

I’d keep Rui over vando if I have to choose, but I am all for making a run at Mitchell or Trae if we can somehow attach Gabe into the deal |

Trae will cost Austin, Rui, and Gabe. Plus multiple draft picks. Good luck. _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

I want to pair vando with trae.
Trae young hasn't played in 6 weeks and is still 8th in assists.
He will really unlock ad |

To be fair, he did unlock AD, but he locked himself up |

Trae Young career:
44% fg
35% 3fg
9.5apg
4.2tov
That's with being a super high usage player...
YEA STAY AWAY!!!
Nope not giving up 3 picks for him. |

Nobody did. 90% of the fans were pissed with brick trade. What u talking about
Reaves doesn't play defense. Neither does dlo.
I would love to have Trae over both. Don't want to give Rui but he will be cap casuality |

A revisionist take. Many of us were against it from the start, but many were excited about how it would unlock AD, take pressure off LeBron, etc.
If you trade for Trae you gut the team for 3 guys and minimums. Same as the Westbrook deal. And while Trae is better than Westbrook, LeBron is several years older with maybe 1 or 2 years left and when it comes time to improve the team there are no draft picks left in the cupboard to make a deal. No prospects to flip. Is Kent Bazemore still available? _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

Agreed! Trae would not make the Lakers a better team considering the pieces that would have to go out. The bad fit is almost as bad as the Westbrook debacle. I don’t think any scenario would help as long as Ham is the coach, might have to move from the FO too.
This team could win with better coaching, and perhaps do even better with slight up grades at C, SF, G. _________________ “When it looks as if it is a realistic possibility, I want to focus on winning a ship like it’s a goal that can’t be denied. I didn’t see that this off season.” |

We need a defensive guard... Hoping that MaxC can fill that role. Add another big like Drummond. I would move AR as a hyper 6th man. A better coach and I think this team can be solid next season.
I'm still 50/50 on DLO depending on how he finishes out or what he can fetch you. |

Unless the Lakers can get a great return for a D'Lo sign-and-trade, I just think it's bad value to trade for a player that replaces D'Lo. You're essentially trading away D'Lo, multiple other players, and picks for that player.
It would be a lot better for the Lakers to trade at retain D'Lo and trade at another position. |

In this camp also. Mitchell - maybe. Young - no thanks. Murray - hell no.
If we're going to blow our load on one big trade, it has to be for a player who instantly takes us to new possible heights and adds dimension. Not a 6' pg who plays zero D and would for the first time be the 3rd guy. |

I think we should trade AR for Dejounte Murray (if Murray would be the right fit) or a similar player. Forget all this stuff about Trae Young, he would be Westbrook part 2.
If Murray would be the right fit, he would give us another player besides LeBron who could create pace and score off the dribble, plus defend. Imagine him exploding downcourt in transition while setting up D'Lo for 3-pointers after sucking in the defense toward the rim. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers |

Unless they change the coach nothing is changing.
But then Jeanie will hire another thrift store coach giving him 2/3mil per year |

At this point the only trades that should be made are to prepare for when Lebron is gone. We are not competing for a ring until that happens. Stack good contracts and picks. |

Fans envision trades and other moves designed around maximizing the chances to win. Ownership and our executives prioritize maintaining their power and profit. When speculating what the team will do, use the latter to handicap the outcome. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

Yup, they're going to need a replacement in Horford for their starting "6" he's getting up there in age. |

Could this be a market setter for Russell? Given their need for a point and Dlo's relationship with Booker, could there be a trade option here? _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

17.5 per year (Grayson's contract) is Russell's current salary. I think that's about what he's looking at. 22m tops if I had to guess. It's less Russell's fault and more of a result of this new era of cost-conscious teambuilding. |
