I like Pat Beverly.
People acting like he's washed while simultaneously thinking LBJ is going to lead us to a title at 38.
The dude has heart and we need more of that.
It hurts to lose Stanley but I still think it's a net gain. |

Unless there's another move about to happen soon I don't like this trade at all personally.. I can pretty much guarantee THT will now look solid and be yet another young player people will talk about looking much better once he left the Lakers. I take THT and Stanley over Beverly quite easily but it seems like me and the Lakers FO are def. not seeing eye to eye the last few years to say the least. Beverly is buyout fodder at this stage of his career at best imo.
Has there ever been a more unlikeable PG rotation then Russ and Beverly? |

Trez incoming with that vacated 14th roster spot???? Haha
This deal could have been an even swap, but THT made 60k less than was necessary to salary match PatB’s deal. As a result, Stan was the throw-in. But all we really needed to do was guarantee 60k of Gabriel’s nonguaranteed deal to make the money work. _________________ Not familiar with the salary cap/CBA rules & how it impacts our Lakers?

Yuck.
Bev. is unlikable and past his prime.
Tucker had a bad year last year.. but he’s still young. You give him up for nothing.
Seems like the Lakers wanted to get off his money. |

Sucks losing THT I’ve been one of his biggest supporters here.
However, Pat bev helps us now.
THT now gets a chance to ball out in Utah. Who knows he’s a free agent next year… |

Bryant/Jones
AD/Gabriel
LBJ/JTA/Brown
Reaves/Walker/Christie
Bev/Nunn
Soon to be gone:
Russ
Well that certainly balances our team out a bit. Got rid of a guard who is useless for us and got rid of the traffic jam of JTA/Brown/Gabriel/Johnson |

I was wondering why the board was trippin a bit ago.
Sigh. I can't stand Beverley but oh well I guess. Welcome aboard, play hard, don't be too stupid and annoying |

Thought the same. But that would have prevented the Lakers from cutting Wenyen themselves to save money. _________________ Member: Austin “Manu” Reaves fan club. |

Rob is testing my loyalty; LOL. Maybe I should make a full list of players
I’ve disliked and we can get this over with. LeBron, Westbrook and
I had Melo as one of those guys that would never win a chip
on a team he played an important role in.
Let’s fetch G. Allen, that way between Allen and Bev we
can guarantee opposing team will have an injury.
🤦🏽♂️

The Los Angeles Lakers are in advanced talks on a trade to acquire Utah Jazz guard Patrick Beverley for Talen Horton-Tucker and Stanley Johnson, sources tell ESPN. Deal could be finalized as soon as Thursday.

Man, THT has the ability to be good. Pat Bev is a meme at this point with the crying celebration and the “Don’t talk to us”. Typical Pelinka listening to Lebron move. _________________ “You have to dance beautifully in the box that you are comfortable dancing in.” - Kobe Bryant |

Pat Bev has made the playoffs each season since his rookie year...
Does that guarantee the Lakers a playoffs spot?
They needed Stanley's salary to make it work. I also see why they chose Stanley over Gabriel.
Gabriel is a better shooter can play SF/PF... Also just not enough playing time for both THT/Stanley with Walker/Brown signing and Nunn coming back. |

Awful. All for an expiring contract? Who we getting next year with AD and Lebron taking up like 60% of our cap space? |
I think this is a huge underrated move by the Lakers. You hate him when you play against him, but everybody loves him when he changes your team attitude and defensive intensity that’s just what he did last year for a Wolves team that was not expecting to make the playoffs and every stop before.
Megaton- I have a ton of respect for you, I’ve been here a lonnnnnggg time like you and this guy makes me want to make a post should say something. Also, and just maybe this trade is expanding to add Bogdan?!!! Now that, would be even better!!!! Fingers crossed. _________________ Game 3 Victory in Denver . Over the last 5 seasons, Beverley has allowed the 2nd-lowest FG pct as the closest defender among players with 2,000 shots defended over that span. |

He gives the Lakers an edge, but at his age, it could be a win or a loss. Once again giving up a younger asset for a declining vet. 21 year for 34. Anyway, at least this puts us in even more position to bench/let WB sit out if he doesn’t cooperate. |

Yeah and the fact is he can make a 3, it’s not impossible for us to believe he will sit back and shoot 3s off Lebron/AD. The only thing is the age. |
