EVEN MORE ON BRON
Per athe Rally (video at link )
“I’m told (LeBron’s) right foot is feeling much better … the Lakers are bracing as if he will need a significant chunk of the remainder of the regular season to ramp up for a return.”
NBA Insider @ShamsCharania reports on the status of Lakers star LeBron James.

Is this team serious about making the playoffs? It doesn't seem like it. |

We will see how committed they are to the tank. With AD out, the org probably sees they could get a win.
But they just beat the Celtics, do you really want to risk getting another win - I bet they hold him out. |

The Rockets have a 6-game lead over Charlotte in the win column with 14 games to go. They can afford to live dangerously. _________________ Internet Argument Resolved |

but they are tied with Det in wins and 2 games "lead" on the spurs., and when you are tanking, win column is all that matters. |

Lottery odds have flattened. The bottom three teams have the same odds (14%) to win the lottery.
However, to your point, the floor does change (#1 cannot drop lower than 5th; #2 cannot drop lower than 6th; #3 cannot drop lower than 7th). If a team wants to mitigate its risk, it may want to secure the absolute worst record, and thus, the highest lottery floor. |

There are still incentives to get the worst record, but, as long as you are assured of finishing in the bottom three, the incentive are pretty small. My guess is that how strong or weak the incentives are tracks pretty closely with how bold franchises are in their tanking efforts. |

Kind of like Luka. Although Luka does look hobbled more than most of these guys. |
