I don't ignore his defensive shortcomings. I'm just also not ignoring that he was one of the better backup centers in the league and that if Darvin Ham decided to play Deandre Jordan over him every Lakers fan here would want his head.

Westbrook was an inefficient scorer and TO prone ball handler here. Not to mention a drop in athleticism meant he was missing half the lay up attempts. His mid range wasn't efficient either and a terrible 3P shooter. He was a net positive only in transition.

It really comes down to team needs. The Nuggets are a great offensive team and a bad defensive team. They don’t need Bryant to score points so I’m betting that Malone feels what Jordan can do on D is more valuable to what they need. It doesn’t mean he feels Jordan is a better player, just that he’s more capable of providing some semblance of the thing they’re most lacking.

on board with Miami but do we really want NO to win? I understand the logic but I'd still rather see them lose and stay behind us. Clippers need a real downfall while we rack up wins to end the season for us to pass them. No matter what, Lakers just need to keep winning but id rather NO loses today |

If the Dippers lose, they have the same amount of losses as the Lakers and can potentially fall into the play-in. They have a matchup vs the Lakers too which becomes vital at that point.
Lakers have to keep their end of the bargain against The Rockets and The Jazz first though obviously.

Part of me wants them to run the table but what if they are gassed after the regular season and wont play well in the playoffs? |
If they run the table and get 5th or 6th seed, they get a week off.

If the Lakers and Warriors continued winning in that scenario that would effectively knock the Clippers into the play-in.

I think Suns would be most vulnerable in the first round while boosting our confidence for the rest of the playoffs. Better to take them out when they are vulnerable rather than letting them build confidence as they get deeper. Plus I think we have the best shot to take them out |

AD will devour Ayton and CP is nowhere what he was in 2021 - I have confidence Russell will outplay him. Better face them before Booker and Durant really get on the same page. |
