Team. League has never suspended teammates for fighting, just opponents.

Difference between Green and Gobert is the Warriors org didn't bat an eye when Green did it and his punch knocked Poole out. It disrupted chemistry and was close to derailing their season.

Other than their team chemistry eroding and trading away 3 useful veterans, 4 1st round picks, a pick swap and Walker Kessler and owing Gobert another $200M, this trade is working out great.

Worse than the Harden trade for Brooklyn? Got to ask… They can’t even be bad because the rockets will get their picks

Worse than the Kyrie trade to the Mavs?

Worse than the PG trade to the Clippers?

Hell worse than the AD trade for New Orleans?

BI has played less games than AD
Hart got traded away
Ball left after being injured most his time there
They used the laker pick to make a draft package for Hayes
They won’t even get the pick swap

😂😂

Tough to say. Obviously Paul George is a way better player. However Shai will be one of the best players in the NBA for years to come. And PG has his injury history.

I mean Silver could start a precedent because teammates have never threw a punch on the bench before though but it would be a first.

I also think it depends on how Rudy handles things, and he’s not known to be a good teammate

Adrian Wojnarowski [AT] wojespn

McDaniels' impact has been immense this season, especially on the defensive end. He's one of six players to defend 2022-2023 All-Stars at least 1,000 times this season, per @StatsWilliams
Now, he's lost vs. LeBron James and Lakers in Play-In game on Tuesday -- and beyond.

Minnesota President of Basketball Operations Tim Connelly on Rudy Gobert: “We made the decision to send Rudy Gobert home after the incident in the second quarter.
His behavior on the bench was unacceptable and we will continue handling the situation internally.”

Why didn’t the police pursue it as an assault when there is clear evidence of it on video? Does the victim (Poole) have the right to protect the assailant from prosecution?

It also happened behind closed doors. It leaked but it wasn’t in front the crowd and on tv, that was a first. And greens did get a mini suspension at least even though it killed chemistry and led to their road record. Green couldn’t get on anyone anymore after that incident and they needed him to get on guys on the road

In retrospect, it seems like we would have gotten the #5 seed if we had beaten the Clippers. So is it actually desirable that we lost that game vs them?

I guess the most desirable outcome would have been to have not blown the Mavs game, or to have won against Houston. Then we would have been #6.

Or the refs call Embid pulling Russ
Or they call Bron being fouled by Boston
Or they call hardaway hitting Troy and Woods hitting Bron in ot
Or they call Nunn being fouled by Fox

Or AD hits the free throw vs Dallas
Or Bron guards Indiana
Or Mavs win with Kleiber

Or the front office signs a big versus the Rockers

Crazy to think of that they got at least 8 games

IMO, the bracket is set up almost as well as the Lakers could've hoped, outside of just making it to the top 6 to begin with. I'd have preferred the Pels in the play in because we match up pretty well with them since they don't have the quick guards or stretch bigs to threaten us, and you can pretty much pencil AD in for 30/15+.

But a Twolves team coming to Crypto without Mcdaniels and Reid + Gobert either in the lineup to hurt chemistry or out...which might still be helpful since they'd have zero rim protection and we can get KAT in foul trouble...you gotta be able to win that game. KAT and Ant will always be major threats on offense and they'll be able to throw a more balanced lineup out there at the end of the game, but they're gonna be absolute food for us on the other end. I don't see anyone that can give AD and Lebron trouble, and if AD's able to go off, that might be it. Their depth now with the injuries is (bleep), too, and we can actually get away with Mr. Hands in Pockets playing Wenyen if Gobert is out.

Then you get the Grizz without Adams/Clarke versus a Kings team that could literally run us out the building...I know people have been clamoring for the Kings, but it's not a bad consolation prize. Another matchup with no obvious AD/Bron deterrents and down on size because of injuries. JJJ is obviously terrific, but he's not gonna outmuscle AD, who averaged 29-21 in the last two matchups. The problems for us start and end with Ja, but it's a winnable series. Schroder's gonna need to get right, though, so we have someone not resembling a traffic cone to Ja for that matchup.

The biggest thing is making it into the 2/3/6/7 side of the bracket, where you avoid the two best teams until the WCF, and have another potentially good matchup to look forward to in Round 2 purely from the standpoint of being able to impose AD/Bron's size and power game. Nothing is a given, and this is just getting way ahead of myself, but the path is there.
