No doubt we keep Kersh. He won’t go out with THAT as his last start and Friedman won’t let him. Especially with an injury to partially blame and especially especially with him so close to 3K strikeouts. And we will definitely start him in the playoffs. Just enjoy what aspects of it that you can until the clock is up and hope for the best |

Yup. Love the kid's bat. Can't believe it's so hard to find a spot for him.
How bad is he at 2B? Seems like his best position anyways. How much worse is he than Vargas was? |

When do you guys want to start the new 2024 Dodgers thread? Now or wait until calendar turns to 2024? |

Good point with Ohtani. Don't forget Lux as well.
Yeah, now we really need a good RH bat. Let's see where Lux & Ohtani fits in right now. (I'm going to pencil Kike in at 2B for the time being):
Quote: | 1) RF - Betts (R)
2) 1B - Freeman (L)
3) DH - Ohtani (L)
4) C - Smith (R)
5) 3B - Muncy (L)
6) CF - Outman (L)
7) LF - Heyward (L)
8) 2B - Kike (R)
9) SS - Lux (L)
|
|
Assuming Muncy isn't traded and is going to be the third baseman, and if we do sign Ohtani, and assuming Lux is playing SS or 2B...it really behooves us to have the non-Lux middle infield position and the remaining OF spot to be right-handed hitters, so I don't know where that leaves Heyward. If we don't sign Ohtani, perhaps JD is back, and that at least gives us another righty bat. But yeah, it's something to be aware of for sure. |
