I got really into player scouting when the Lakers had high draft picks. Excited to get back into it. There were some big time players who I was super wrong about, like De’Aaron Fox who I would roll my eyes at when people talked about how gutsy of a player he is. But damn, they were right, stats be damned. I value “got-that-dawgism” a lot more than I used to.

Cason Wallace if available. Perfect replacement for DS if he leaves in the summer.

Last year the Lakers started draft workouts on May 10th. Wonder when they're going to get started this year.

If we keep the pick, Bilal Coulibaly is the (imo) the answer. That kid has star potential and a high floor as a role player.

I think Lively is going to shoot up the draft boards once he works out. He's massive and his rim protection will stand out. Not many true centers in this draft.

Was watching his clips, like a Tyson Chandler type big.

I know he is lower on many boards, but having watches Amari Bailey a lot this year, I prefer him for a 6-3 combo with upside.

They’ve already begun their pre-draft process by meeting with four different players who are all potential first-round talents. This group includes Connecticut guard Jordan Hawkins, Kentucky guard Cason Wallace, Indiana forward Trayce Jackson-Davis and Michigan guard Kobe Bufkin.

I am hoping for Jett Howard.

Great pedigree and one of the top 3 shooters in the draft with very good size.

Could get Troy Brown’s minutes.

There are combo guards (George, Bufkin, etc.)

There are long wings who can shoot (Howard, Murray)

There are shooting guards like Hawkins.

We have the French raw ability dudes.

You have a legit center in Lively.

So many options.

The Derek Lively train just keeps getting better and better for this team.

Khris Murray would be my choice.

I like what little I’ve seen from Rayan Rubert, particularly the Nic Batum comparison.

If you want guys that can contribute 'right away' look at guys that have been in college 2-4 years like the Jordan Clarkson, Kyle Kuzma and Austin Reaves' of the world.

Draft the player that has the most similar game and athleticism to Jamal Murray.

If Jalen Hood Schifino drops to the Lakers he reminds me a lot of Murray. Gets a ton off the dribble. Elite high ball screen guard that destroys guys on the midrange.

I love Adem. Really nice kid, and very approchable. I think he is a season away from realistically helping a contender. At 6-8, he may need a few more NBA skills.

+
Hedge and recovery
Motor
Weakside rim protection
Athleticism
Wingspan

Can stand improvement
Post moves
Defensive boards (improved over season)
Mid range
Outside shot
Freethrows
Ball handling
