Tomorrow (the 22nd) is both my birthday and the 17th anniversary of Kobe’s 81. Need to commemorate both with a win. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
Lillard averaging 39 pts over his last 5 games. Dennis needs to be in his jersey
Let Dame $ get a heavy dose of OKC Brodie
I sort of do wish Russ would take on this circa 1980's Byron Scott how-you-like-me-now attitude where he tries to blow up all the other All-Star lead guards he faces. Play physical, tenacious defense and take the approach they aren't going to get a night off. On offense, run them non-stop. _________________ Member: Austin “Manu” Reaves fan club.
"Play In" implications: Portland is currently in 12th place w/ LA at #13 in the WC. This is basically a must win for both teams.
Lakers split the 1st two games vs Trail Blazers earlier this season.
Lakers bench and role players will have to step it up again because LBJ can't win it by himself. We need Westbrook to bring his A game too.
Portland has lost 11 of its last 15 games & are 2-4 in the last 6 games.
Playing at home, with an extra days rest, probably gives the Blazers a slight advantage.
The Lakers will have to turn up the defensive intensity because Dame and Grant will be a problem.
However if LA's defends the perimeter, attacks the boards and presses the action, it's a win for the P&G.

YES!!! I always thought he has the blue print in B.Scott, I mean u got modern day Magic and Kareem, let's go!
If we win, we climb above Portland. The teams above us in the standings all have ridiculously difficult games.
Clippers @ Mavs - Go Mavs
Thunder @ Nuggets - Go Denver
Grizzlies @ Suns - No chance Memphis loses this coming off Friday
Add in the Clippers game Tuesday and San Antonio Wednesday.. if we can somehow win these next 3 games, we could be playing for a .500 record against Boston on Saturday and a chance to be in the Top 6 in the West.

They must still have visions of Shannon Sharpe running through their heads ...... but it's still early, the Grizzlies can turn it around in a heartbeat.
