Rui’s comp isn’t Kuzma (I mean it could be) but is Rui or can Rui be as good as Gordon/MPJ? _________________ “The main goal for the Lakers is to win a championship. All I care about, all we care about, is to raise another banner in the rafters.“ |

Rui is finally getting the floor time he deserves. His game is solid offensively and defensively. He owns the left short corner 3. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Rui is the better fit at PF for us than Kuzma. I'd like to see more consistent defensive play, especially rebounding. _________________ LAKERS 2019-2020: NBA World Champions! |

If the Lakers trade for a third star this summer, I really hope they don't include Rui in that trade. He's a good iso player, he's one of our best finishers in transition and he can play good defense, especially against bulky big men. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers |

Rui is inconsistent at times but he's definitely a solid 4th-5th option player for us. Was very great vs Minni when we needed him. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

The main challenge Rui will face is being consistent in the area of aggression. It's the reason the coach and sometimes LeBron & AD have to get on him a bit. The hope is that it will become a dispositional trait.
This is a guy we want on the frontline. He's hitting 54.5% from the field & 41.9% from three and he's strong as an ox. We got him at the perfect time in his career.
Stay aggressive on offense, defense and the boards Rui! You a bad dude when you're going at guys! |

There's plenty of times that guys get frozen out of the offense when the ball goes to LeBron at the beginning of a play. Guys aggressive early wind up standing in corners and then are cold by the time they get the ball back to finally score. This is when the Lakers stop running offense. They need to cut back on that. Not having AD hurts but we still have sets we can run to get guys shots at their spots, we just need to run them. When we did it was effective. Got Rui open on some cuts to the basket. Needed to do that more. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

RUI doesn't force things as much and is in control most of the time. I like his play we need more of him and less dlo and Austin to be hones. |

Been a non-factor first 2 games... He's replacing WCF DLO right now. |

Was he even decent last year's series against Denver? He was really good against GS/MEM probably due to matchup size. Denver's lengths has bothered Rui and D'Lo. |

He put up 15ppg that series and lowest game was 10 points...
So far Rui first 2 games 10 points total at 5ppg.
That's a 10ppg drop off from last year. |

Guarding 6’11 284lbs takes a toll on a 6’8 guy |

Denver front line is huge, so it is a bad matchup for Rui on both ends. Those easy backdoor cuts won’t happen with their length. I am wondering if he could. Take Jokic off the dribble because it would help a lot |

Rui needs to play better. No excuses for his play the first 2 games. He's the one they're leaving the most open on purpose and he is neither aggressive nor engaged. I can deal with him being aggressive and missing. I can't deal with him being disengaged on both ends and playing so soft that he can't make his dunks. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Its painful that Rui's missed layups ended up being the difference in game 2. |

You need to run sets for him to get him involved. He is so out of rhythm because he doesn't have anything ran for him. He needs to focus on rebounding. If he does that and AD handles Jokic hell be fine. |

I always think of Joe Louis's Coach in the movie Joe and Max when Joe Louis wasn't going hard in his training for the rematch.
"Why don't you just quit and go home?
A real fighter wouldn't throw that soft sh--,
Or stand there feeling sorry for himself."
Whenever Rui throws up that soft stuff, and even tried a weak disengaged dunk which he also missed, "A real fighter wouldn't throw that soft sh--" goes through my mind.
That and Kobe's quote to Clarkson. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

^^^ Yes. Guarantee Kobe would be in his ear on the bench lighting his ass up.
Getting outworked and outhustled in the playoffs ESPECIALLY after getting swept by these guys last year is unacceptable. _________________ "Dread it, run from it... destiny arrives all the same." |

Rui missed two point blank bunnies and a wide open three.
Got outhustled for countless rebounds.
They needed to pass him the ball a little more but this loss is on him. |

If Rui can’t hit open shots, Denver will treat him like vando and put Jokic on him, and this will be a quick series if we allow that |

It also needs to be said that when it comes to the Kuzma and Rui debate, Kuzma can contain Murray in a switch. It’s why it worked too that year.
We haven’t beaten the Nuggets since we had KCP and Kuzma in the playoffs
We haven’t beaten the nuggets in the regular season since we had Westbrook to match their athletic ability. |
