If we're looking listless after the emotional roller coaster from game 4, Malik blowing up may help keep us close enough.

This man is committing basketball terrorism. It's genuinely hard to believe he was a top 3 pointer shooter

He's just really bad at shooting when the game matters. Not that guy.

He's gone in the off season. Couldn't make open 3s with multiple looks even in garbage time. That's as low pressure as it comes. Not to mention regular season struggles.

Beasley and TBJ should not play next game. Play Dennis and Rui more. Go with a 7 man rotation and close it out

Safe to say his $16 million team option won't be picked up next season right?

I would use that money to help resign D'Lo, AR, and Rui

Have to think so.
I know folks will want to have him around as potential trade ballast but not if Jeanie is going into the lux tax to keep him or anyone in return for him.

Given his limited minutes, have to think Christie would be a better play at his price point. Plus Christie is a hell of a defender at his age. He may turn into a true 3 and D.

Yep, should have never happened the way it did between LW4 and Beasley’s playing time.

LW4 played 20+ minutes in games only 3 times since Feb…racking up several DNPs…while Beasley consistently struggled badly. In this 3 games in March where LW4 played 20+ minutes he scored 51pts including two 20pt games and shot 18 of 36 for 50% overall with 11 of 24 for 45% from 3pt range.

I get that the production may seem a bit exaggerated by picking out only good games but those were the only ones where he played 20 minutes with limited garbage time and DNPs many of the other games during that time. He averaged 18ppg in Nov with 44% from 3 and 12ppg in Dec with 40% from 3. So…hs production in those 20 minute games in March was consistent with what he did for months before his injury…LW4 should have already been receiving a chance to play to see if he can provide better than Beasley based on what has already been seen.

The pressure of being a laker player is a real thing. He’s moving on I would think

Christie may well be the Beasley replacement next season. If Ds gets a better offer and LW4 stays, He may get Schroders minutes.

That could be two really good guard units:

Dlo and Reaves starting

Christie and LW4 second unit

One guy a scorer, the other guy the Swiss Army knife.

His confidence and shot have completely disappeared.
I hope he can find his shot because that's all he has but unfortunately its been M.I.A.! He's practically unplayable at this point.

He'll contribute against DEN, if both teams get that far.

I have a feeling he is going to have a chance to get some PT & revenge on his former team, because after Murray they really don’t have a guard other than an inconsistent KCP or Brown who he can’t cover & defend!

So, I’m thinking Malik will get some run & be a factor in this series much like LW4 was in last series. As long as his shot is falling I expect him to see action & contribute. It will be very important that Ham plays more guys this series!

Bringing his name up reaffirms just how much depth we possess. He, when on his game, can light it up in a hurry. The problem, of course, is that he contributes very little else if he's not on his game, which is shooting.

Also, a player has a shorter leash in the playoffs, so he basically has to come in ready to contribute almost immediately or Ham will get somebody in there quickly who has been more consistent.
