We are in the telling ourselves he doesn’t need surgery phase. The only phase left is having the surgery. |

How so? Lol
Do you even know the situation? He decided against surgery so he would have a chance to come back. It was always going to be close and uncertain.
What do you think the medical staff is lacking? In your professional medical opinion of course. |

Now they are just wasting time and could put him starting training camp on-time in jeopardy if he does need surgery _________________ Previously LBJ23 |

It doesn't look like he's coming back soon but without the real medical chart, we just don't know. Hope it's helpful to share a medical perspective.
A general Orthopaedic principle is we do surgery to put the bones, tendons, and ligaments back in the right place and the body does the healing from there. The issue with surgery for a midfoot injury is that's 100% season over. So for this injury, it's very reasonable to treat this nonoperatively and hope he can return to the court sometime during the playoffs. No surgery keeps playing this postseason a possibility, where surgery closes that door.
When he got injured a significant factor in deciding on treatment is that surgery in February ends his season and that's worse than giving him a chance to better without surgery understanding that if he needs surgery later in the summer missing the early part of the season isn't as bad as missing the postseason. Nobody has the medical crystal ball. |

Hoping Gabe is the guard equivalent of Vando. Reddish showed promise earlier in the season but he’s injured now and let’s be honest he sucks. |

I posted the tweet in the injury thread. Ham suddenly referring to Jarred as day-to-day was a literal first. _________________ #IStillBelieveTaurean |

Darvin Ham says Vanderbilt did not suffer any setbacks. The boot was something Vando wore for the plane ride and to the arena. Ham said the Lakers’ forward, who has been out since Feb. 1 with a right midfoot sprain, remains day to day. |

OK well I'm the one who posted that. And again referring to Jarred as day-to-day is a literal first. He has not been wearing a boot before that anyone has ever seen, and as far as anything that's been reported he hasn't done anything except individual workouts he's not even doing any type of contact. So I don't understand where day-to-day even came from honestly. I certainly hope he can come back but this tweet raised as many questions as it answered. And frankly it just sounded like another evasive Ham response. _________________ #IStillBelieveTaurean |

Yeah the last update prior was Ham saying Vando had a good workout but that there was no new update on when he'll return.
It goes individual workouts
and then practice
and then being activated on minutes restriction
and then back full time
Unless you're Cam Reddish then Ham will just throw you out there major minutes and wind up doing more harm to them than good -_- _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Back in February the rumors were he'd be out for the season.

It's looking like those rumors were true. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

surprised no one responded to this..perhaps because even if he returns, not likely can make a difference? |

You can put him on MPJ or switches onto Murray. He's a solid diver to the basket and can make defenses pay the way Gordon does. He eliminates the 3 guard lineups Ham is in love with.
There's lots you can do with Jarred. The question is if he's a step slow or not. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Yes conditioning may not be there. Also last time Denver played him off the court because of his lack of shooting. He was hitting his 3s decent before his injury..but it may be hard to get back in rhythm after being out so long. |

Our bench is scoring a total of single digits between 3-4 players. Anything is an upgrade at this point. Still No idea what Ham is doing with rotations.
Max should be starting, and reaves should be with the second unit. _________________ *Paging Mike "Doo Doo" Brown to the front desk*
