surprised no one responded to this..perhaps because even if he returns, not likely can make a difference? |
You can put him on MPJ or switches onto Murray. He's a solid diver to the basket and can make defenses pay the way Gordon does. He eliminates the 3 guard lineups Ham is in love with.
There's lots you can do with Jarred. The question is if he's a step slow or not. |
Yes conditioning may not be there. Also last time Denver played him off the court because of his lack of shooting. He was hitting his 3s decent before his injury..but it may be hard to get back in rhythm after being out so long. |
Well in 2 games both Gabe and Dinwiddie have given you a combined 0 points. So not sure how much worse Vando can be? |

^^^ I get it, but it's not that simple. Gabe/Dinwiddie provides spacing. Of course Vando man would have the ability to play free safety. _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' When looking at our roster, he's the best defender to put on Murray by a mile. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

How'd he do last season in the playoffs? I completely forgot...did he do okay on Murray?
Tbh, we held Murray to pretty bad shooting twice now...last second shot withstanding.
Can't get clamped in the second half two times in a row. If our offense showed even a faint pulse we would have won going away last night. _________________ KOBE |

Makes the game 2 loss even sadder, even after the long layoff he's the key |

He can switch on to murray and porter. So his versatility is excellent. He didn't get played off the floor last year. It was hams offensive schemes that misultilized him. During this year he has been very resourceful with his cuts and rebounding. |

We have defended Murray well for the most part...
But we are lacking in energy hustle plays and extra possessions. That's something Vando provides. 10-15 minutes of that energy would be great. |

The worst part is that his absence, Gabe's absence all year and even Wood's absence will be used as an excuse for management and coaching. |

If we had any other coach, I may be excited by this news. But another player coming back would just make Ham's brain explode.
JV was a liability on offense last year against the Nuggets, Partly why Ham opted for those three guard line-ups. |

Vando is more of an energy than timing guy, if he is healthy Ham should get him in there - if nothing else, he will help on the glass and energy. Could also put him on Porter Jr. |

Dinwiddie and Vincent are out there for defense and putting up 0 points because Ham refuses to empower them offensively to look for their shots and attack.
Vando could go out there and score 0 points and probably would make a bigger impact defensively than Vincent or Dinwiddie. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Lebron on murray, until the 3rd min Mark then Vincent subs in
AR on KCP, Dlo subs in at 3rd min mark
Vando on mpj
Rui on AG

Reminder: Vando looked pretty bad his first few weeks back from his initial foot injury. It was almost month until he looked like the Vando that was flying all over the floor.
I would not be upset if he doesn't play tomorrow. |

February Vando would be so crucial so that we don't run units with Prince at the 4. We don't have February Vando and I'm nervous about just putting him into the game rushing back from injury. +1 to pjiddy |

Could be a spark even if rusty.. Throw him in to rough up the nuggets and take him out..
10 min of hard nose basketball could be the difference in this game |

This is how I really hope Ham tests out Vando as putting him on Murray is a complete waste when MPJ is playing and has been a Laker killer for Years now.. If Vando can come in and make life a nightmare for him that would be massive for us going forward. Maybe late in the 4th if Murray looks to be healthy enough to possibly start hitting some of those tough dagger shots then give Vando a little time on him but outside of that we got several other very capable guys of guarding him good enough. |
