These two playing each other on even rest? That looks different.

since when? They were without PG. No way anyone thought this was an L. This was the first game in forever against them where there was something on the line. We have to start being able to knuckle up and win games where there is adversity.I know in the playoffs the early rounds afford us a lot of rest, but a win most likely gives us a week off.

Going 17-6 was going to be enormously difficult after losing to the Rockets and Mavs back-to-back. However, the Lakers are in a solid position at 14-7 with 2 games to go. They need to go 2-0 to guarantee a seed no worse than 7th, and a Warriors loss in the final two would propel the Lakers to 6th.

16-7 would be a job well done.

Hopefully they get it to guarantee at least 7 seed.

yeah, if we got those 2 wins, we could be in a much better position in terms of seeding.

There was a report floating around that a month ago AD still had bone bruising. If it's true it's better to be cautious, even though the fans hated he sat during the Rockets game.

he does have the bone spur in his foot, and he will get it removed in the off season.

16-7 is damn good.
Impressive turnaround.. I just hope they're good enough to do some damage in the postseason.

I’m so proud of this team. Most counted the Lakers out and thought there was no chance they could finish 6-1, but they’ve proven the doubters wrong. They’re a quality team.

Yep. It's made even better by the fact we had Lebron out for a huge stretch, Dlo in and out etc etc.

Yep, with the injuries it's really amazing. Can you imagine the record in prior years with Lebron and AD out this much?

This team has a lot of potential

had to look for this thread - YES - 17-6 is what it would have taken for a 6 seed, spot on.

And 16-7 is a ridiculously good finish.

Honestly, it worked out well that we didn't get the 6th seed.

Let the Kings and Warriors beat each other up.

7th seed is perfect. We don't play the Nuggets and winner of Clippers/Suns series unless we get to the WCF

Heartbreaker was Dallas.

Probably should have been 18-5. But that would have meant a first round meeting with KD and the Suns.

NO.

Best would have been a week of rest and go at Sac.

But beating Minnesota and resting 5 days to play Memphis isn’t end of the world.

I fear Suns more than Memphis without Adams.

Overall we got about as good an outcome as we possibly could have expected. How far we go depends on the feet of Lebron, AD, and DLo. Weird … but true.

Well I am not really expecting much this season. But next season is a different story.

The Lakers had the best record in the West since the All-Star Break, and that's despite LeBron James playing only 11 games.

This is the most exciting development moving forward. Imagine in the Lebron era the Lakers even be capable of being above .500 with no LBJ. It was impossible in prior years and this season until we added DLO/Vando/Beasley/Rui/Bamba.

This is a solid playoff team without him IMO.

Bodes very well for the future!
