This is a surprise. I didn't know he was ill. There is no cause of death listed. Brown was a GOAT. During his era, some equated Jim Taylor to him. He had luminous acting and activist career. RIP

He had been quite frail for at least the past couple of years, if not longer.

I'm a bit surprised I know he was old but I wasn't expecting this.

That being said I did watch his A Football Life he led an interesting one.

Oddly enough I remember him most for his cameo on Living Single trying to console Overton about losing the Browns.
