If we look at the oddsmakers the Clippers odds to win the title before and after the Russ announcement remained the same, -900. They don’t anticipate him making much of a difference either way. |
That makes sense from the book standpoint. They don't really have much data on his fit /mins. If he's not working, they'll cut him. If he starts to move the needle they'll adjust the odds because naturally people will start hitting that line.
I'm not sure where you sourced -900 VLF but I'm pretty sure you meant +900. For what it's worth, I actually think that's a worthy bet for consideration. |

Just pointing out that the poster was wrong, they didn’t lose anyone for Russ. They lost Kennard and Jackson for other NBA players that strengthened their bench. Kennard will be missed but Jackson was horrible most of the season, shooting a Russ-like 41%. I will dumb it down for you next time.

Taking history into account when the Lakers trade a player their game improves. Westbrook's game will be resurrected. He'll return to his triple-double form. | He looked a bit rejuvenated in his introductory press conference. Most Laker fans are probably relived that he is no longer a Laker too. It was just a bad fit trying to make Westbrook fit his game along with Lebron and AD. |

Westbrook's very lucky. He's put down roots here in Los Angeles. His kids have formed friendships. He doesn't have to change any of that and start all over again. His move is only across the hall. I think this may be his last team.

Plus Russ has a car dealership in Orange County, right?
I don't think the Clip's are worried, Russ will be coming off the bench, he won't be as bad, until they get greedy and try to start him...lol
Looking at the trade from the Lakers perspective, they traded ONE BENCH guy for THREE STARTERS...

Like just about every dealership in last two years, they're heavily marking up the prices on their more popular models. I can take that. What really stuck in my craw was that over the phone, they tell you one price and in person something totally different. I know most people have horror stories of car dealerships but in all my years of buying cars, I've never had any sales guy bald faced lie to me to that degree.

Russ just scored on a fast break and Kings called a timeout.. Russ walking off the court and they cut to Balmer with a drink of some sort.. lifting it up and his hand was shaking very erratically. Problably just coincidence |
