It's been a struggle all year holding on to 12th in the standings. OKC plays Utah and Portland plays Orlando...both are 1/2 game behind the Lakers meaning they pass us if they win and we lose.

Let's win to keep that from happening!!!

This should be a very lively and entertaining game. That being said IMO the Lakers will pull out the win today vs GSW despite the return of Steph.
DEFENSE is the key!

Golden State has lost 5 straight road games and is a league-worst 8-21 ATS on the road.

Los Angeles is 8-3 ATS in its last 11 games after a loss.

Literally missing two of our top three players. Can’t be reactionary.

Steve Kerr confirms that Steph Curry and Andre Iguodala both should play today as long as things go as planned in warmups. Steph will have a minutes restriction but Kerr said he’s keeping that specific number in house.

Ah the “in house” statement aka “as many minutes as necessary to win the game.”

So if he plays 32 min he can say they had him at 30-32.

I think IG’s point (and a correct one) is this same 2 star model in 2023-24 would be insanity and result in no playoffs, again.

LeGrandpa and Day to Davis have proven you can’t count on them for more than 55 games and 55 is being generous tbh, not to mention the timing of it with all the in and out situations and lack of continuity.

Correct. No one shuts down AD as good as Draymond. So I wouldn’t count on too much from AD today.

Probably going to need some hot shooting to stay in the game and have a chance so hopefully Beasley, Schroder, Reaves, Lonnie, Rui, Bamba are all making their shots today.

I would like to see some Bamba/AD/Vande/Beas/Schro today. I think that is the best roster combo the team can currently weild.

That’s a good lineup if Looney is out there. Bamba is good to counter GS just putting Looney on someone who can’t shoot.

Same starters as last time out: Troy Brown, Jarred Vanderbilt, Anthony Davis, Malik Beasley and Dennis Schroder.

The two star model (or 3 if you count WB lol) hasn’t worked with the Lakers over the past two seasons imo because AD/LBJ was required to do too much heavy lifting with minutes as well as production due to poor roster construction. It worked for the championship with pieces that fit the two star model and it can work again as the problem wasn’t the model but the pieces.

I believe we have the pieces now for the two star model with AD/LBJ to work next season. They have to play 32 minutes per game instead of 38 and some games they can play 24 like in the GSW blowout win a few games ago.

Tbh I don’t see it working out even with this depth of the 2 stars are missing 30+ games each.

Bummer no DLO today, more like DNO?
My bad extra cheesy today

In other news, did anyone by chance catch the new LIVE Chris Rock Standup on Netflix?

Chris Rock is such a boss, he is the first Netflix comedian to do a LIVE show. This guy knows he's soo damn funny he has 100% confidence he will not bomb.

Hopefully our Lakers surprise us today with Steph coming back and pull out a win. If no I will rewatch this Chris Rock Standup to bring my mood back up

No one shuts down Curry and the Warriors like the Lakers though.
