Same story, different day. They are just, simply put, inconsistent. They are unable to play at a consistently high level for any period of length.
Maybe with a healthy team (eg LBJ) things are different with consistency. But let's not get started on health

Dude, you must missed the game
DS was only guarding Kyrie in the 4th and he did a good job. It was Troy brown guarding him before.
DS was the reason we even came back and took the lead.
It was DLO that missed every single shot in the 4th and kept on taking them |

AD is a ten year vet making rookie mistakes like this. How many games has he cost us because of his inability to make FTs? And then they threw the Rockets game away because he couldn't play.
Hard to not be frustrated with the AD experience at this point. |

| Ham is a rookie coach. If there is a more capable coach, Lakers will be well clear of .500. Obviously a dumbass decision to hire a rookie with championship aspiration. Pelinka revamp the whole team but yet kept a rookie coach and him to deliver. Joke organisation from top to bottom. |

Some strange decisions at the end.
DLo clearly didn’t have it. Missed every single shot down the stretch. Why is he in the game? It’s not for his defense.
AD has proven that he can’t hit clutch free throws. He’s 1 for 2. Missed to finish the Sixers game. Missed to finish the Celtics game. There are a few others. He’s 69% from the line in the clutch, despite being over 80% on the season. Is it in his head? I don’t know. But it’s clear it’s tough for him to knock down both at the end of the game. Why was the play drawn up for him to shoot the most important free throws of the game? |

They made some bad plays down the stretch.
That AD 3 PT foul was huge for Dallas.
AR & AD miss clutch free throws.
They gave this game to Dallas with poor execution down the stretch |

The Mavs wanted this game more from the start. They busted their ass all game whereas we basically only played hard for part of the 3rd and in the 4th.
You bring that same effort all night this game isn't close.
We had all that momentum coming off the NOP game and then we sit AD and the wheels fall off, just dumb. |

Perfect...AD has been by far the best player this season. The team record without AD is horrible |

We should also talk about that challenge on the Wenyen foul. It was clear verticality. Instead of being up 4 with 90 seconds and the ball, the Lakers were only up 2.
The officiating gave the Mavs a chance. Lakers still should have won, but I have a hard time believing the Lakers have enough talent and will to overcome the consistent late game blown calls. It’s a contributing factor to why this team likely won’t go on legitimate winning streaks. |
