Typical.

If I had a penny for every time a Lakers coach said “He could have played, just precaution” lol

Surprised about Markkanen. Thanks Danny boy.

I'm reserving judgment on the DLO situation until tonight but

If they going to have AD sit out then he should sit out this game not the Clippers!

It’s fine. Pretty sure Markkanen being out had a lot to do with it.

Although Colin Sexton playing all of a sudden is so freaking bullcrap after being out since all star break.

I want Lakers to rest the guys they can for the Clipper game.

Hope we get past the Jazz without DLo and minimal effort by LeBron and AD

With the Jazz so short handed we can probably get away with giving DLO another day off to recover. We’ll need all hands on deck for the Clippers and Suns. I’d love to win out the rest of the season giving us the best chance to avoid the Minnesota and the Clippers in the first round of the playoffs as we don’t match up well with either of them.

If both DLO AND Lebron are out tonight, the Lakers are playing a dangerous game.

I can see them easily losing without 1 of them.

You would basically be relying on Beasley and Lonnie to have high production games to help AD/Reaves and possibly Schroder.

Mo Bamba has been upgraded to doubtful for tonight’s game at Utah.

He’s been out since March 5 with an ankle sprain.

This game is important for playoff/playin seeding. The Sail Boat Crew is the real tester. They've beaten the Lakers last 10 games.

Good to hear he’s getting close.

Lebron can’t play in the b2b, I’d sit him against Utah and tell Reaves he is going 40 mins tonight. Them have Lebron and D Lo 100% for the Clipper game.

Even with Sexton we should be able to beat the Jazz with no Kessler and Markenen

There should be no can't play in B AT B at this time. Put Pelinka in if possible. AD and LBJ should not miss any games. We are in must-win games.

My guess

There is no more time for resting, IMO, LeBron should play both games, IMO, there will be some days of resting, if they avoid the Play In.

Unfortunately if DLO has foot soreness, then pushing himself to get back for a b2b probably isn't the way.

He might skip this one and play against the Clippers

Darvin Ham says D’Angelo Russell will be held out for precautionary reasons with his sore left foot. Ham says Russell has dealt with the foot for more than a year and it was “bad timing” with the discomfort flaring up. Ham said the team would determine Russell’s status moving forward - as well as AD and LeBron’s - after the Jazz game for the second night of the back-to-back coming tomorrow against the Clippers.

I don’t think him sitting is an issue, but they never said what kind of injury it is, he is still rather young, and does have an injury history.

I always find the extra day reasoning funny in these situations. Like the dude is joining his teammates and boarding a plane. I mean is it really recovery if he’s like traveling with the team and physically has to board a plane.

Extra day reasoning makes sense if you are in the middle of a homestand.

Ham: LeBron James (foot) will play Tuesday.

Smart to get this one. Hopefully he won’t have to play too many minutes.

If LeFoot has to miss tomorrow, I understand. Really need DLO to step up down the stretch.

As much as it pains us to punt against those clowns, it makes sense to secure the other 3 games and see what happens tomorrow night.

Get him looked at by the Lebron of foot doctors for crying out loud.
