Don’t be so sure, him getting hot 1-2 games in a series can be important. It’s more likely to happen at home though.
Him and TBJ are basically our lottery tickets |
He's got a team option for next year at $16.5 - there's really no justification for exercising that option at this point |
Only if you're packaging his contract with a pick or something for a solid "not quite all-star but very solid" level player. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Memphis shot uncharacteristically well and still got blown out. If it isn’t Rui, it’ll be someone else stepping up.
This is going to be a quick series and I think Golden State and Sacramento will be beating each other up for 7 games. It is all setting up perfectly. |
Not sure I’d say they shot well, besides JJJ,aldama, Jones. all the role players were pretty mediocre. ja was 2/3 from the 3, which is uncharacteristic |
Agreed, if anything, that second half, our fellas started knocking down 3's at a really high rate (11-19) and Rui was on fire, I would not want to change the narrative to somehow this is our guys norm for shooting 3's...it isnt =)
Albeit, pre-trade? We had no one *like* a Rui who had the potential to come off the bench and just go on fire on offense like that. I suppose DS to a degree but now that's an extra guy who in a game could catch fire. _________________ "One thing I admire about Kuzma is his unwavering confidence. Hopefully Ham comes up with adjustment for JJJ. He'll be the focal point of their offense if Morant is out. |
We might see TT get some minutes in this series. He's the only other player with enough bulk to body up on Jackson. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

Agreed. He's nothing more than a minimum player, making 15m. Let's not forget he was only good on bas teams. People in the league are hungry and can produce more than Beasley. |

Austin Reaves in his first playoff game......boy is as ice water as Nick The Quick in his first playoff series. Nick destroying Payton and McMillan (the top 2 premier defensive guards at the time on the same team) and Austin ripping apart a fine defender in Bane. Clutch guys are clutch guys. |

Yeah. His rebounding was key even though his offense wasn't consistent. He made a big 3 for us when he came in in the 4th to put us up 7.

Glad you asked because it’s important…hope Ham says this to him and LBJ realizes it:
Take 5 threes instead of 8, sure it will mean a make will not be there but 3 more misses wouldn’t be there either, needed to be 2-5 from 3pt distance so 7-13 overall…instead of 3-8 and 8-16.
Some of those turnover are inexcusable, it’s ok to make a few from trying to make a play but to be just bonehead careless can’t happen…and in the 4th…especially down the stretch extra care has to be taken to try to eliminate turnovers.
That’s what we need from Bron, hold himself accountable for not just too many turnovers but inexcusable ones…max 3 per game and that’s too many. Also, fall out of love with the 3pt shot and make higher percentage rate plays, there are teammates that shoot considerably better 3pt% and LBJ shouldn’t be shooting more 3ptrs than them at a lower percentage.
There’s the answer…that’s what we want more from LBJ. Even if he doesn’t step up and win the game he can at least not lose it. Once he gets these basics down we can up the ante and ask for a performance down the stretch like Reaves or a mid game effort like Rui to keep us in it. We know LBJ is capable as he’s done it many times before…just need him to lock in and give it to us or at least not make it hard on the team with I’ll-advised 3s and turnovers. _________________ “When it looks as if it is a realistic possibility, I want to focus on winning a ship like it’s a goal that can’t be denied. finished pretty good
too many turnovers and bad plays in the 1st half
If LBJ would just let Dlo/Shro/Reaves bring the ball up and initiate the offense, it'd solve most of his problems |
I think we all can admit fairly that Lebron is nothing close to his usual self. An to top it even more off, nothing close to Playoff Lebron.
clearly still not 100% |
that's something a lot of posters are forgetting..
when AD was out earlier (before LBJ got injured), Lebron was a beast and was carrying this team...
he obviously still can play at a high level based on that, but isn't back 100% yet from the foot injury. |
yea I might be overdramatic with we could have won without LeBron but damn our other guys stepped up |
@PK
Lebron is too smart and invested too much money to not be back in top form every single season and it will continue for the foreseeable future. At least another 2 seasons IMHO.
Seriously it's still amazing that he's back on the court this quick nowadays after tearing his tendon in his foot
@1995 I believe our team is pretty damn good even without Lebron.
But he made some super risky nerve wrecking threes that kept us afloat alongside RUI and AR's heroic performances.
Also I've been talking about how huge AD's 7 BLOCKS where today but I must admit I really enjoyed all of Lebron's 3 BLOCKS MORE LOL
Especially when he BLASTED JJJ's floater off the backboard in the 3rd quarter 💀💀💀 |

A lot people still doubt that Reaves is that guy. The fact is if Lebron and AD stay healthy, they got a great supporting cast and have as good a chance as anyone in the West. |

This game is stacked.
We have so many shot creator.
Reaves, DLo, Lebron.
Schroder is ok at it too.
We got post presence: AD.
We got good shooting from role players: Rui, TBJ, Beasley
Like our top 8 rotation players, none of them are huge defensive liability or offensive liability.
Beasley is probably the crappiest defender in our rotation.
And Lebron tries to save his energy on defense, but when he turns it on, you can’t exploit Lebron.
I don’t think any other team in the playoff got so much options.
The only time we get screwed is that when Ham decide to play super small and let opponent feast. |

The problem with your first rule, take 5 threes instead of 8, was he was 1 from 6 from three and hit his last 2. In fact I THINK he was 0 from 5 but not sure |

I did see yesterday that the entire inside the NBA crew picked the Lakers to win the series. I am surprised Charles picked the Lakers since he seemed to be team Grizzlies after the Lakers performance vs the Twolves. |

He's got a team option for next year at $16.5 - there's really no justification for exercising that option at this point |
Only if you're packaging his contract with a pick or something for a solid "not quite all-star but very solid" level player. |
I'm sure you know this already, but exercising that option puts us in a bind wrt the 2nd level tax and signing AR, Rui, Shro, etc
the only way that'd work is if they could sign him and trade him for a future pick..
trading that money for another player is a financial problem _________________ LBJ + AD = More rings

Crazy....this was our feel out game and we still won decisively and were the better team. In 2020, during these feel out games, we lost to the Blazers and Rockets because of our limited offensive options. |
