Basically, just don't allow Tilman to get Shaq numbers again, and AD plays an average game, we win.

Simple as that. AD had probably the worst game of his life, and we barely lost. So here's to hoping AD shakes off that trash game, and comes to play in this one.

This is why we should have no excuse to lose this series.

DLo, Reaves, Schroder, AD all have subpar games, Tillman goes off beyond what he's done at any point in his career and we still were in a position to win.

Unless Tillman has emerged out of nowhere to become the next Draymond, if we just shoot season averages we should win this series.

But as I said last game, you cannot take this team lightly, even if Morant doesn't come back.

Video Post

After generally side stepping questions about Dylan Brooks’ comments, LeBron James cut off his media availability with a simple message.

A lineup I'd like to see. Twin Towers

1) Dlo
2) AR
AR and Dlo can share 1/2.
3) Bron
4) AD
5) Mo

Give it a 3-4 minute test run.

Ja Morant was a full participant in Grizzlies practice today. Coach Taylor Jenkins says he’ll still be listed as questionable for Game 3 Saturday night.

Jenkins said Morant went through a non-contact practice and individual workout that included dribbling & shooting… “it’s just catching the ball he’s having to navigate.” Grizz will make a decision at game time but Jenkins said Morant’s hand is a lot better than 2 days ago.

It doesn't sound like he's ready to play yet. Based on this description I'd be shocked if he played.

I think there's an element of gamesmanship and keeping us guessing at work. pio2u posted a link in the Injury thread, where I think it was Tyler Jenkins, somebody from the grizzlies, was saying Ja was held out the other night, as a "precaution". Yeah, right lol…

I don’t see him playing because they won yet again without him.

If they lose g3, he will be back g4. If they win g3, I could see them sitting him out until they go back to Memphis.

The Grizz were a weak team on the road this year with a record of 16-25.

Grizzlies pretending there is a chance Ja plays is just like the silly head games of the Lakers pretending LeBron and AD might not play.

A tweak I'd make there is using Troy at the SG slot for defensive purposes, along with being the occasional option for the outside J and to be a fast break runner. He is far less effective being a fake SF, which is how Ham usually playe him, but as a two he'd work out fine (especially helping out on Ja if he plays).

AR or DLo at the point works for me. Maybe go with DLo on a short leash if he's not hitting his shots. Good line up suggestion in general though. We'd be back to imposing our will on our opponent with superior size like the good ol' days in 2020, which is why the coach probably won't use it. =\

I'm guessing we lose this one but win next one with Morant coming back. I think Morant makes the Griz worse defensively.

I didn't feel this way before, but, since Memphis wants to take cheap shots on AD, I want someone to rock Ja's world as soon as he tries to play. Rake his ass to the ground and force him back to the sidelines to watch the rest of this series on the bench.

Lakers have to approach this game as an underdog. Don’t let the game 1 win and home court get to their head. grizzlies are a 2nd seed team, don’t let the media hype you up. Have that chip on the shoulder, don’t take plays off think you can flip the switch on any time. You listening AD and LeBron?

One thing I was worried about last game is the Tillman/JJJ combo seem to little hard for the Lakers to handle at times. Whoever AD wasn't guarding they seem to take advantage of whether the other was guarded by LBJ, Rui, or Vando.

We need to use our other bigs - Wenyen/Bamba, at least TRY them. We are getting killed in the small ball minutes.

This issue has been glaring the past 2 games. Ham has been refusing to use Bamba/Gabriel. I do not understand it at all

The second unit of Denis Beasley Troy Rui Bron has been grossly out played both games. We basically lost the whole lead in game 1 when they were a group and game 2 the defecit doubled, but it was closer game than it seemed before Russell’s 7 point play.

I would like to see a change up of a second unit of Denis Lonnie Rui Bron Gabriel … changes the whole athletic ability and rebounding of the team. And it’s not to say bench Troy and Beasley permanently but just to say this matchup ain’t their matchup … in a home arena especially Wenyens energy and Lonnies athleticism would ignite a crowd

And Vando needs to be benched if he gets scared to shoot and finish. If he’s not doing that he’s essentially getting AD or Bron doubled ever play down in the post
