I voted 90s as it is when I grew up, loved rap music, and when I started following the Lakers.

'60's . . . it brought the most advancements . . . space, civil rights movement etc. . . . and then of course, the music.

80s. Chick Hearn calling Lakers 5 titles and Vin Scully for Dodgers 2 titles. Getting a license to drive. Other than homework, chores, and a part-time job, the last decade of stress-free living.

The last decade of the latchkey kid before the emergence of helicopter parenting.

Halcyon days with street hockey, basketball, and the local arcade after school. The subsequent 180° to helicopter parenting is quite understandable.

I don't know about you guys, but my most reliable sitter during my latchkey days was Harry Caray.

60s: JFK, RFK and MLK assasinations, Cuban missile crisis, Vietnam war, moon landing, Woodstock.
And just in 1969: Abbey Road, Led Zeppelin II and Let it Bleed

I voted 90s because I graduated high school in 1990. After high school I had a lot of fun so that's why I voted 90s.

However, looking back, I would like to change my vote to 80s.

80's. 60's were more important, but 80's were "greatest"

Does anyone remember what the years 2003 and 2005 were like? Or 1994?

Born in late 70's and I am going to say the late 90's is the best. Just wish I was wiser and less (bleep) dumb back then. So many regrets is not funny.

Funny thing is the latchkey kids became the helicopter parents.
