BACK TO THE CONFERENCE FINALS

What a game. Lakers led wire to wire. Won 122-101

Really 3 acts for this game. Act 3 was a drawn out torture of the dubs

Act 1: Lakers launch salvos

First quarter lakers come out body slamming the dubs. 27-10. Lbj and the laker guards came out strong as DS got the start over vando

Act 2: Revenge of the Dubs

Still in first quarter. Dubs go on a 16-4 run and Lakers start looking sloppy. First quarter ends lakers up 31-26. Dubs flashed their championship grit, their undefeated western conference playoff record under kerr, and the fact they always take at least one road game in the playoffs

Act 3: Revenge of the Lakers

After dubs got within 4, Lakers started slowly pulling away. The big boost was AR hitting a midcourt 3 before the half giving Lakers a 10 point lead.

Then the third quarter came and the Lakers surely but slowly pummelled the dubs. Any mini run dubs made, lakers had an answer. Even after losing DS to 2 techs it didnt matter. Slowly but surely the lakers imposed their will…and the world champs fell. And 2 dub records went down the toilet.

Observations:

Ham: savvy adjustment starting DS. The new starting lineup destroyed the dubs

AD: made his defensive presence felt again

LBJ: utterly dominated whoever guarded him

AR: this guy has balls of steel. Nothing pretty about his game but this kid got game. Fearless as game went on

Dlo: along with AR and lbj helped carry the offense

DS: curry having DS nightmares

Walker: summoned his inner kobe again

My fellow purple and gold lovers - I have no idea if the team can beat the nugs, who are really good…but ill say this. Im damn proud of our fellas.

GO LAKERS!

Nope gotta finish the job!

Bron ain’t getting younger, the time is now!

But of course, the championship is the goal

But this team came from all the way back to get to the Western Conference finals. If they don’t win the Western Conference finals are you gonna call the steam a failure?

We're the Lakers. It's always championship or bust.

Their still crying about the bubble title. Can't imagine how they will feel if this team wins another chip under Lebron and AD.

Favorite play was AR behind the back dribble and cooking of Curry in the paint for +1.

Great win by the team to advance to the Western Conference Finals! Beating the number 2 team, in the Grizzlies, in the first round. Following that up by beating last seasons NBA champs, in the Warriors, in the second round. All this, after starting the season 2-10, with a awkwardly constructed roster, and a brand new head coach.

Pelinka did a hell of a job remaking the roster, which saved the season, and giving the Lakers a bright future. Fired up for the match against the Nuggets! Let's go! Job's not finished!

Lakers!!!

(Respect to the Warriors}

It’s strange how the new additions are falling out of favor tho…Rui was starting but limited now, then Beasley lost the starting job and now Vando lost his with Mo never getting on track due presumably to injury. Dlo still balling tho!!!

Mgmt was able to correct its WB mistake, unbelievably. Most of the time you aren't able to recover from such a tragic error.

I would love to see a Lakers/Miami final - ultimate proof the bubble was no fluke, disproving anyone who still believes that crap.

Rui did his job round 1. Vando did his job on Ja. Denis was a signing and he won the play in game and set the tone tonight. Lonnie was his mle signing and took a game for him. Reaves was his 2 way signing he gave a deal too and got to skip the second round commitment from other teams and he’s developed. Russell was his best traded for guy and he’s been a 15 7 guy in the playoffs and he and AD have the highest assist to teammate rank on the team. Gabriel also was a guy he got in the scrap yard last year and he played second big the whole post all star break without Bron and no other center and he helped you win games. Troy started multiple games and got your though the year.

I mean he did a good job … Beasley, Bamba, and Thompson y’all showing up?

You could see the confidence in lebron and Davis in the post game

Lebron especially he can smell the title, this team has major confidence

I’ve been saying ever since to trade deadline that we Lakers fans have been fortunate to celebrate wins on Fridays for a nice change.

Lakers win eliminating the defending champs on a Friday!!?!?!

another qftos gem

The 96 Bulls wouldnt beat this Lakers team under these circumstances.

21 FTs for Lakers & only halftime 😂

Many on questionable calls against Schroder, Lonnie and Reeves.. while only NBA stars consistently get benefit of the doubt calls... these 3 guys literally get the MJ Whistle.

4 fouls on Poole, 3 on DiVencenzo, 2 Curry, 2 Payton. Cooked

It’s, once again, not just Warriors fans seeing through this (bleep) and calling it out.

Love you all. Love the Lakers. We won ourselves another series. Lets relax for a while, and get it done. Our next series is the toughest but we earned the hell out of it.

I don't hate them when they don't win. I'm thoroughly impressed that they've turned the season around; but greatness doesn't settle for runner up trophies.
