Another good game from him. He is playing within the confines of the game, and making some excellent reads.

It seems like he is learning. The key with him is consistency, I really hope to see more from him. He is all over the place defensively, and offensively he sets some nice screens, he basically knocked DiVicenzo out of his shoes on a nice solid screen today.

They have been working with him on showing his hands when he's on defense as that was something he struggled with.

Phil Handy doing another great job thus far.

Hayes was on my trade block for a while, but Hayes has been outperforming Wood as of late, especially after Wood's tweet.

Yeah, a definite uptick in how he moves these past couple of games, more confident, more deliberate, and less "jumpy"/foul-prone - I'm happy for the kid, I hope he keeps at this level for the rest of the season.

I love his herky jerky style, his play has literally made Christian Wood a guy we can either waive or dump in a trade

I would consider giving him some run against the Joker in a couple of games. He does have length, quick feet, and hops.

Yeah his foul prone problem which came with him showing his hands and why he lost minutes and got DNPs, seems to be something Handy and the coaching staff have been working on tremendously.

We've seen it paying off in the last two games.

And once more, he's very clearly been outplaying Wood, since the tweet.

Jokic will move him around like a pawn.

Probably like he did Biyamba. But Hayes can run the floor and guard the perimiter. I’d like to see 5-10 minutes of AD and Hayes up front depending on the match up. If you guys remember the first Phoenix game Ham played AD, Hayes and Wood together upfront and the Suns couldn’t get anything inside.

here's the thing about Jokic.

He can't be defended.
But he can't defend either.

Can’t have Jokic grabbing offensive rebounds, hope Hayes/Wood can box him out

The lineup moving forward needs to be DLO, RUI, Bron, AD, Hayes

He kept us in the game tonight. Who knows how bad we would have lost without his effort on the offensive glass. He had the game ball, too bad we couldn’t close it out.

If he keeps up this play, it totally changes the complexion of the team. He has looked very good and is a bundle of energy.

X is beasting against 2nd unit, same motor as T.Bryant but with extra athleticism. Kid is coming along

I didn't watch yesterday's game. However I remember people noting his passing ability in the preseason. I think he's a young player who isn't particularly cerebral. It makes sense if he needed a lot of time to get up to speed on the offense to not look like a clown. Plus Ham has stopped playing him in drop.

In the right role he can have value. I'm impressed by his hands. STL% above AD's is nothing to scoff at.

Was that the second unit Denver was playing the last 6 minutes?? The kid is not a star but tons of energy and hustle plays. Completely out played Rui and Woods. Those guys can just learn from his energy.

It's good to see Jax playing some inspired ball lately. He seems to be showing progress after a slow start to his Laker career.
Consistency is what we'll be looking for moving forward.
Keep it going big guy!!

Had a lot of hustle plays last night during moments when other players were just hanging their heads and not hustling or getting back to attempt to contest or rebound.

Shows how big a difference effort makes, and the separation from "I don't think I can get that." and "I'm not gonna try to get that."

Who is this person who has replaced Hayes? Not a single illegal screen since he's gotten back in the lineup? Activity that is translating to actual psotivie contributions instead of terrible fouls on the court? That isn't the Hayes I saw at the start of the season! I welcome this doppelgänger who has replaced Jackson Hayes on the Lakers!

We have an actual good player development coach that worked on his weaknesses defensively which were fundamentals issues more than talent issues.

Dude is probably in the playoff rotation (for when AD isn’t on the floor), as of right now

The hustle he’s providing is invaluable
