In what world does it make sense to have AD practically playing point with this lineup.Get Max and AR to bring it up.

yep. There's no playmaking without either of them in the game.

At this point not sure I know the difference either. Clear path means nobody ahead of you from your defensive team, take means what?

If you're still on the fence about whether the Lakers are lacking guard depth this should be clear evidence. AD bringing the ball up and initiating offense. Vando turning the ball over because he's expected to bring the ball up while pretty much everyone else stands around. Max and AR are guards that can handle the ball but I wouldn't consider them point guards, at least not now.

when the defender fouls without making a play on the ball - with the specific intent to stop a fast break

Thanks. Refs judgment I assume on whether there is play on ball or not?

Clear path means there is no one in front and it’s 2 free throws and the ball.

Take is generally an intentional foul with no play on the ball to stop the fast break and it’s one free throw and the ball.

pretty much, it seems to be when a defender commits a deliberate foul to stop a fastbreak

the difference between clear path and take is mostly:
Clear path - there's no one ahead of the offensive player
Take - there can be other players ahead, but the foul is deliberate to stop the break

It's not that he literally doesn't know what it is his gripe is always that they're inconsistent on how it's called whether it's gonna be a clear path or a take or a no call.

Yeah the Blazers were smart and just went for a steal instead of just grabbing him like most players do in that situation.

Rui creates alot of gravity with his size. If teams decide to double RUI it will make the lakers so much more difficult to guard.
