The real story of this game is how the Lakers got hot from 3. Mostly Lebron, but Cam/Rui/DLo were a part of that 4th quarter shooting resurgence. Lakers were under 20% going into the third, and finish the game at 38.9, 14 for 36.
Lebron 34/8/6 on 14/21, 7/12 from 3, and only 1 free throw. 3 turnovers and 2 blocks!
Rui with 17 points, and his only 3 point make was the one that gave us the lead in the 4th.
DLo with 18/2/6 on 6/10, 3/6 from 3.
AR was our second best rebounder tonight, putting up 13/8/5 with 1 turnover on 6/11 shooting.
AD had 20 and 12, 3 of his boards were offensive. 3 blocks and 2 steals. 8 of 15 from the field too, had 1 free throw until the end of the 3rd, finished with 5.
Cam made a 3 in the 4th. Good job Cam! Also got a steal as Plumlee was trying to lead the break for some reason. 5 points and 3 rebounds in 19 minutes in his first one back in over a month |

How many more elite seasons does LeBron have in him? Next season is the last? The one after that?
He’s obviously not what he once was.. but he’s still a top player in the league, which is crazy. |

Really not sure at this point. They’ve been asking the same question since 2020 |

That game was horrible until Bron got hot.
Low energy, everyone playing poorly except for him.
Hopefully this was a confidence builder but it's pretty terrible to watch for the most part. |
With all due respect this franchise sucks and has sucked since Dr Buss's health failed him. Many of us want to win the war, happy to lose the battle. |
This team has won a chip since then, and been to the Western Conference finals
Maybe you just suck as a fan |
Ummm no...try again. Look up the winning percentage since then and compare it to their winning percentage while he was at the helm. They suck one bubble chip notwithstanding. |
We’re withstand a championship and a Western Conference finals is is that a thing? |
Right so let's rewind a few years - 2011 (when Dr Buss really started relinquishing control to his kids until he died in '13). Since 2011, the Mavs have won a title and have made a WCF. They are also above .500. In that same span, the Lakers are below .500 but also have won a title and made a WCF. You want to be the Mavs? You consider that success? |

Lebron is just a freak, a special player and we should all just embrace that we are seeing a player that will never come around again. Crazy the way he played today. |

Completely different set of rules. Dr. Buss inherited Kareem, Magic, Cooper, Wilkes & Nixon, then bought his first 3 championships (no salary cap, Lakers had double the payroll of everyone else). The CBA has changed 4 times since the kids took over, with almost all the rules geared at stopping Buss-like success. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns". |

Even down big, once the Lakers started making a few threes, I knew they had this. Once they make 2 or 3, that always quickly turns into a barrage of 8-10.
Clippers made it a little scary at the end but I was laughing when I saw Kawhi stop and put up that terrible fadeaway. The only way they were going to win was if he stuck a 3 at the buzzer but not only did he shoot way early to where the Lakers were going to get the ball back and score anyway, he took a horrible low percentage shot. |

Sometimes it’s good to have a talented player like LeBron lead you to a victory especially in a ugly slug fest game like today, it’s not always gonna happen like this but it’s very fun when you get to witness it |

Lakers made 9 threes in the 4th Q? Is that a team record for a quarter? |

What a game. Lebron went completely nuts in the 4th. Glad I kept watching. |

Not sure but I saw that it was the largest 4th quarter comeback since 2003... Also Lebron's largest come back in his career.
Guy still reaching new game highs at his age is crazy. |

Kawhi didn't want any part of Lebron in that whole 4th quarter...
Even his last shot was a decent look and pulled the string short so bad. |

He didn't buy Worthy. That was a trade. Scott was a trade. And so on...He didn't buy the talent that allowed the trade for Kobe, Glen Rice etc. Yes he signed Shaq, but this era's Lakers signed Lebron. Not like they haven't had their chances.
Buss had good management. And the new rules haven't stopped teams like the Heat who have won and have posted good teams consistently even with LBJ's departure. This org is sub 500 since Buss handed the reigns over. Salary cap and CBAs cannot explain away mismanagement and poor ownership. They suck upstairs literally and figuratively. |

I’m just wondering if you’re still with us if we didn’t win that championship and make it to the Western Conference finals

Huh? I'm talking about the performamce of this franchise in the 13 years since Dr Buss handed over the reigns. How is a change in ownership cherrypicking? It is a legitimate externality not a randomly selected, arbitrary point in time.
Their record is 19th best in the NBA since then. 1 title and one WCF where we got swept, with a significantly sub .500 record in 13 years is NOT my measure of success. I'm sorry. It's not. Feel free to disagree, but it isn't cherry picking. |

2nd best win of the season. (Beating the celtics in Boston with Lebron and AD out still#1)
Really fun watching Lebron’s hero ball destroy the clippers for the 3rd time this season. Just sorta disappointed it bails out Darvin’s poor coaching.
Can’t believe he actually played 39 year old Lebron at center. Reminiscent of Dantoni playing Kobe at power forward. I get it we don’t got CWood or Vando but no excuse not to play Jaxson or even extend Rui’s minutes. Lebron looked angry during this experiment.
At this rate of negligence forget the playin/playoffs.
Vogel and Ty Lue these past two games are the perfect example on how to protect your players by putting them in the right position with no funny small ball BS.
Sure Ty Lue and his clippers got embarrassed tonight by our Lakers but at the end of the day they are 37-20, 4th in the West and by far the best clippers roster in the Kawhi/PG Era.
If I had to say one nice thing about Darvin tonight at least he didn’t break up our starting lineup with the return of cam. Playing Cam and Taurean off the bench is perfect. Just frustrating Max is back to the doghouse…. Okay I tried |

I recall Vogel playing Lebron at Center in a lot of games in 2022 with Stanley Johnson and Melo as the PF… It was one of the reasons fans were calling for his head and eventually led to him getting fired. |

I watched every game that season. Vogel used Lebron at center for one game in a heroic win over Gobert and the Jazz. Stanley went off in the 4th. AD and Dwight were nursing injuries.
Frank got canned because of the failed Westbrook experiment and just horrible roster construction. Ariza, Bazemore, Ellington, Melo, Dwight, Avery Bradley, and Deandre Jordan all washed.
So desperate we even gave Isiah Thomas a go.
Russ and Rondo.
Vogel had a raw deal that season.
But I’m sure Lebron and AD miss Frank to a degree as I seen both of them give him a hug the other night in Phoenix after the final buzzard |
