I know Austin is not getting DLo money, so DLo is going to attract more attention, but Austin still plays a key role in the functionality of this Lakers team. He has to move forward as a player. He cannot be just 'there'. I compare him to Tyler Hero, and he needs to start giving us similar numbers as Hero gives the Heat. Again, I know he's only a 2nd year player, but still, he has to start moving the needle, otherwise there's no justification for keeping him this summer.
Don't think this needs it's own thread but regardless, not sure AR can take a leap here with our offensive schemes setup the way they are. He's going to be 3rd or 4th option and problem with our team is it's inconsistent in how he'll get his action in the game.
lol. The expectations some people here are unrealistic and honestly stupid. AR is un drafted player that fallen to lakers laps in the summer league. He price is about who he is. Keep complaining about him is stupid he is not a Superstar or Even a star he is a poor version on manu.
AR wasn’t the issue today. He played fine and was expending a ton of energy chasing Murray and did a decent job doing so. We needed to way more from the other guard on the court. Definitely would like to see AR give us more, but not sure how realistic that is if they’re hiding Dlo on defense and making AR chase Murray. We need to guy conserving his energy on defense to give us something on offense and not go 1-9 on good looks from three.
No excuses for any of the role players. They collectively played terrible. The problem is our lack of size and/or strength (Rui on Jokic, DLO and Reaves guarding anybody) is not going to change rest of the series. So if they don't at least score we are royally screwed

Hard to score when Denver is bigger and more athletic than us at every position lol.
no this isn't on AR. Its actually on Coach Ham, and DLo _________________ Starting Lakers Dynasty6.0! NOW!!

Reaves is an example of a player who was originally underrated, and then the pendulum swings too far in the other direction and he ends up overrated. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
The way they played the last two minutes is how they need to play the entire game.
To have Reaves slow the pace down and not make any effort to create offensively is absolutely horrible coaching.
There is zero point to have him in the game to slowly walk the ball down and then pass the ball to the side and have him stand in the corner.
He's not a great defender so if all you have him do is walk the ball up in slow motion and give the ball up to DLo or Bron then get him out of the game.
As I said, we are as good as this team if DLo, AR, and Rui hit their shots.
Ham should have forced DLo to shoot until he started to hit them. I get that he shot nine times but make him shoot 15 rather than let AD shoot them.
AD and Bron did their part.
It looks like we will lose thanks to DLo, AR, Rui, and Ham choking.
Everyone knows if you do not have something nice to say, don't say it. In regards to this post......
Except you did say something.
Reaves did walk the ball methodically down the court and hand it off.
DLo does need to shoot until he breaks his mental block.
I forget if it was Reaves or DLo, but one of them had a defender fall down, leaving them with an open three yet they passed in the corner to Rui for a contested a shot.
This is gutless play that I remember Lonzo used to do when he was struggling with his confidence.
Those three need to remain aggressive all game or they have no chance.
Instead we kept forcing it to AD and Bron. Those two played well but the complete failure of AR, DLo, Rui allowed Denver to choke us out at the end.
Someone said to play Vincent more, and it's not like he was doing anything either. He got three quick fouls and zero points. Dinwiddie zero, Hayes zero.
This game should have been won. Denver plays good defense but it wasn't like there were no open shots.
Exact same crap I watched last playoffs. Winnable game, lost by players unable to do their regular season jobs.
