when ever I create something on illustrator cs that has a stroke on it whether it be a shape or text when I shrink it down the stroke appears to get large and wide I know the stroke is not really gettying bigger but actually staying the same size and it just appears that way because I am shrinking the rest of the object. how do I fix that. _________________ New Orleans Hornets superstar point guard Chris Paul is reportedly headed to the Los Angeles Lakers in a blockbuster trade. |

-Open the Transform pallet (Window > Transform)
-Click on the little arrow on the upper right corner of the pallet
-Make sure Scale Strokes & Effects is checked

Since that got answered, anyone know if there's a simple way to make an angle gradient in Illustrator? Importing a rasterized image from photoshop doesn't really work so well with svgs.
edit: oh right, also without using gradient mesh.
Seriously, it's annoying when your employer wants everything to look photoshop but makes you do it in vectors just in case they upgrade the system later. |

-Open the Gradient pallet (Window > Gradient)
-Click on the little arrow on the upper right corner of the pallet
-Click Show Options
-You should now see the angle adjustment control |

Actually I'm looking for the angle gradient not a linear gradient, the one that starts at a centerpoint and radiates in lines from there. I'm guessing they expect you to use the gradient mesh for this, but gradient mesh doesn't translate to other formats so well. They really need to just combine both programs at somepoint. |

I've got another quick question. I can't seem to get thumbnails anymore in windows xp like I did in the last version. All I get is the cs logo. Is there some option I'm missing. Can't seem to find anything online about this. |
