If you are ever in San Diego, you can try places including Corvette Diner, Lucky Bucks, Rocky's Pub, Ho Dad's, Nicky Rottens, Johnny B's, and the Waterfront.
Of course, nothing ever seems to be In N Out to me.... its just I have had so many of them, I have gotten used to them. That first time I tried In N Out though was something special. |
LS, have you been to Oggies out there in SD area? They have a few. Also, have you been to Seau's? If yes to either, how are those places? _________________

Oggies sucks to me, just average food. Seau's is fun. If you go there around happy hour, you definitely see the football groupies come out. It's good food too and enough sports screens to watch whatever you want. I like it. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

California folk see the word "Hardee's" and wonder what the hell you're talking about. We have Carl's Jr. out here, which owns Hardee's. Carl's Jr. has something similar to the Thickburger called the Six Dollar Burger.
There are only two Ruby Tuesdays in all of California and they're both up near Sacramento. One in Folsom and one in Woodland. But that's ok because there are a lot of Red Robins in SoCal and their burgers are better than Ruby Tuesday anyway.
Yeah, SoCal still has Fuddrucker's. We have one here in Burbank. _________________ Game recognize game, Granddad. - Riley Freeman, The Boondocks |

I do remember that one but I don't know if it's still open and I'm not sure if there are anymore in SoCal...I'll run a search...

Ah! That's why that looked familiar. You are correctamundo, sir! It's funny, because the SoCal HQ of Hardee's/Carl's is in Anaheim off the Lemon exit...just right down the street from Sonic! ...That's how I know what exit to tell people when I'm sending them to Sonic for their 1st time.
And I always get Red Robin and Ruby Tuesday mixed up. I've been to a few RRs and they do have some nice burgers and some good fries. _________________

And my dark horse, Jack in The Box's Sirloin Burger. Don't knock it until you've tried it. Surprised the hell out of me. |
Ok, see...I was curious about this one...Now I'm gonna hit it tomorrow night before the Raider game. |
^I don't want to hype it too much, but for a fast food chain, it is a really good burger. I've had it twice, and both times it was hot off the grill. You can choose what kind of cheese, and red or grilled onions.
I'm not going to say it's on the level of a in-n-out or fatburger, but for a fast-food burger, it's probably the best I've had. |
Cool, that's certainly good enough for me, bro. Thanks for the info on that. I'm there tomorrow for sure. |
Jack in the Box Update: Ok, tried the sirloin burger - DAMN GOOD! Way better than the angus competitors. Juicy and very tender taste with the right spices. They need to add a double version though. Big ups, Zigs! _________________

Wow, only one person recommended Apple Pan? Well I'll make it two.
And I like the Swingersburger at Swingers.
I tried the 6 dollar burger at Carls when the first came out, and was mightily disappointed. Maybe they were still leaning how to make them. _________________ I would rather have questions I cannot answer than answers I cannot question - Richard Feynman |
