Just to prove stats aren't everything look at Kwame's stat line vs DJ's. The #'s Kwame put up in 23 minutes are pretty decent yet the team floundered when he was out there.

Thanks DB. I was pleasantly surprised with DJ. I hope he sticks around till the end of the season. Drew/DJ/Kwame/Mihm (in that order) is a nice defensive center rotation.

DB is undefeated this season, another strong effort.

I don't know what the Lakers need to do at halftime to be ready to go in the 3rd, but leading at the half or playing one half earns you exactly nothing in the NBA.

Here's something interesting though..

Even with LO being a determinant and the latent Smush once again...we were actually so close to beating the Mavs, one of the best west teams.

So where is Odom's impact? Anytime?

I just noticed YOUR sig. I had wondered what happened to kmf. Good to see you buddy!
Hey, 24! Thanks! I was a victim of JD and banned for some ridiculous reason. You know how it was. But I'm back! I've been back a while, I just don't post as much as I used to.

Mbenga was an eye-opener for me. Of course, he is a former Mav, so maybe he just knows Dirk's moves. Or, it could be he's a gamer. I liked seeing him work.

SGH

Yeah maybe he knows Dirk's moves but then just maybe shouldn't have Dirk known enough to overcome it??

I would say that with him being a marquee player, the onus is on him to take THAT advantage.

hey guys....just usually read but I was at the game for my semi-annual (depending on if we got 3 or 4 against the mavs)...refs were bad...just let em play ball, can ya? during the 4th, they did for a little while and like somebody said, we capitalized on it..

and I agree with the phil jackson thing-what exactly is going on at the half as of late...

tomorrow might be worse cuz if you guys rememeber cleveland killed us on 2nd chance opportunities by gettin' those valuable off rebs....hope lamar can get at least 15boards by himself....

would be nice to see Vlad back-we are so undermmaned it's ridiculous!!!!

I would have been more critical with Farmar. defensively he made a series of mistakes. And during the first stint the Mavs took it to him. He took it personally but could not capitalise

And Luke looked a bit better to me. He was beaten, yes, but he tried and he got some cheap calls against him too. Much better effort than Lamar. I think Luke is next in line now after Cook is gone. He can try, but he is very limited.

Kwame was -10. Only Lamar was worse at -11. That's pretty typical of Kwame in past weeks.

Kwame was also out there most often with the worse lineup (i.e., a lineup that included Luke and Odom), whereas Mbenga was often out there with the better line up (Farmar and Ronny).
