Just got that Little Brother yesterday... ish is hot. FYI... they have an album coming out in November...

Speaking of Little Brother.... anybody listen to the New Foreign Exchange album? It was not what I expected at all... I like it, I'm not disappointed (Phonte, IMO, pulled it off), but I was expecting more of what we got last time...

Tach as usual you and I are on the same wavelength, I was trippin when LIAB dropped, I expected Phonte and his boys from Connected to be flowin, instead I find an R&B album! But man, thanks to Phonte's ability to sing as well rhyme like he can, add that to Nic's incredible talent to make beats, and it's still an amazing album...

Also, noone's mentioned these artists, so I will, enjoy:

What's The Science
CMA
Jneiro Jarel aka Dr. Who Dat?
Count Bass D
Blu & Exile
Asheru & Blue Black
INI & Pete Rock
Moka Only
3MG

Blu has had a hellvua year. I love his style... he's been mention through this thread. I can't wait to hear the Evidence/Blu track on The Layover.

Pete Rock is one of my favs, beats are so smooth... Pete Rock burned CL on that Fakin Jax track from the INI/Pete Rock Center of Attention album. Tip and Large Pro killed it on the To Each His Own track.

Mars (Remix) - Blu

Some more smooth ish:
I Think (She Likes Me) featuring Che Grand & The Luv Bugz produced by J “8 Months” Lewis
Stop, Look, Listen - feat. Styles P , Q-Tip , Termanolgy

Banger:
Fresh Rhymes & Videotape Anthem - The Alchemist, Dilated Peoples, Aceyalone & 88-Keys

Can't wait for his album to drop... I'm hoping its all new stuff (not tracks from his two unreleased albums Open & Kaamal the Abstract, which are good in their own right, I just want new Tip track).

Q-Tip f. Eve - Gettin Up (remix)

If you get a chance, checkout Dela's Atmosphere Airlines... ish is tight from top to bottom, no skippies on this album, one of the best albums I've heard in the past year (Supastition, Blu, Kojoe, & J Live are absolutely sick on this album).

Snippets from Atmosphere Airlines

New MF Doom & Sean Price from DJ Badu's Duck Season 3 - Audio

This may be going off the subject a little bit. But what are some of your favorite samples used in Hip-Hop songs.

Hall & Oates - I Can't Go For That
De La Soul - Say No Go

Aretha Franklin - One Step
Mos Def - Miss Fat Booty

Club Nouveau - Treat Me So Bad
Luniz - I Got 5 On It

The Isley Brothers - Footsteps In The Dark
Ice Cube - Today Was A Good Day

Sammy Davis Jr. - My Funny Valentine (Not the one Kanye sampled but this one is my favorite, he sampled Etta James.)
Kanye West - Addiction

I'll stop there for now.

Here's another blog to checkout

souledonmusic.blogspot.com/

ATCQ - The Love Movement Original Samples

Thanks Tach for reviving this thread.

I can listen to Lyrics Born once in awhile but it's not something that can stay consistently in my rotation.

Some music to chill out to.
40 Winks - Rap About That

Nomak feat. Pismo - Geisha in the Days

Flashbaxx - Jack of All Trades

Nujabes - Horizon

I like Nujabes (never heard of them/him before) ... it reminded me of Fat Jon (who I just heard for the first time on my Pandora Station about a week of so ago). When I was looking for a Youtube link for Day by Fat Jon, I saw that Nujabes and Fat Jon have some songs together (No Way Back)! Small world!

Here are some more smooth chill type ish:

Panacea:

Flashback To Stardom
Pop Said
Katana
Scenic Route
Square 1
Epiphany

Nice to see some Panacea love goin around. Dude's get slept on a lot.

For my favorite track of them I gotta go with either:

These Words

or

Ecosphere

If you like the stuff from his two unreleased albums (Kamaal the Abstract and Open), you will like this, especially since some of the tracks are from those albums (like Official).

How do you like the new Foreign Exchange Album. It wasn't what I expected, but I like it..... a lot.
