Never really thought i would care, but I must say I was really stoked for him/franchise and us as fans.

I always assumed the Bias against him would get the best of the voting.

which is the bigger travesty: That Magic had to wait until 1987 to win his first MVP (8 years in the league), or that Kobe had to wait until 2008 to win his first (12 years in the league)?

I feel like we won the championship already. Seriously, if Boston doesn't win the ring this year, I will be able to say this has been a very satisfying NBA season.

Besides winning another championship, this is a dream come true for all Laker fans. Congrats to Kobe, finally winning his first MVP. We all know this won't be the last.

Now that the voting is public, I could see Kobe winning at least 2 more MVPs. 82 first place votes is mind boggling.
