Thanks Eric.
May I ask why someone asked for you to cover Brian Roberts? Just curious. |

Thanks emplay. I mentioned this kid yesterday and got teased by some folks on this thread. This kid is a player IMO. I'm not saying he will be a hall of famer but he is a gamer. For the record, I didn't ask for the write-up, just pure coincidence. Like I said, keep an eye on this guy - a lights out shooter with a controlled but aggressive streak |

Not at all trying to be critical but considering most of us can't really watch the games, might I suggest describing his game or your impressions of it a bit more in the articles? I really didn't get anything out of what you wrote, except that he wants to work hard to make the team, and that he had a good workout before the draft.
What did YOU think of his game? How did he do? Any impressions? that's really what I, as a Lakers fan, want to know about. Can the boy play basketball and would he be a good prospect for our team? |

Man, you totally got me! I really thought you were in Vegas covering this guy! That's hilarious. YOU SUCK! Lol. Dang. I really wanted to know what you saw.
Well, that explains it, doesn't it? |

LAKERJAM - If you're curious how the Summer League guys are doing for the Lakers, I can offer you this brief summary:
Koby Carl is really the only guy who belongs on an NBA roster (and yes, I'm purposely leaving out Joe Crawford). The Lakers summer league team is certainly not a threat to steal any roster spots from people. Koby has showed a good, all-around game, but everyone else...YEESH. Stats don't tell everything - you can just tell by the way some guys play. If they're not dominating the summer league rosters (or if they look like they're working too hard), they're not NBA material.
I'm honestly not even sure Joe Crawford has an NBA Level ceiling. |

By the way - nice write up by Emplay. Even if he was in Vegas, it would be tough to spin the article to put a favorable light on Roberts' play in Summer League so far. He hasn't been terrible, but he certainly hasn't lit the world on fire.
You guys have to remember - a couple years ago we got totally excited about Smush Parker because he was so good in Summer League ball.
If the guys on the roster right now (other than Koby) aren't performing up to Smush level, you don't have any real roster spot additions.
One thing I have been impressed with about Koby, by the way, is he looks good defensively - he's hustling and moving his feet. Maybe can be the bizarro Luke Walton? |

I keep saying, Coby Karl is very underrated athletically, and he has that DWade pterodactyl wingspan. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel |

I think Karl could probably perform Sasha's role just as effectively at a fraction of the price. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

I'm not sure he's slower, but he's not ready. He's sasha two years ago. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel |

Mitchell is athletic, but hardly a 1 and probably not even a 2. Looks more like a 6'5" SF. Kinda like Azubuike, but with less skill. _________________ “This goes far beyond paychecks” |
