Until the lakers show that they can beat other elite teams consistently, you can't just say they are best. This team is awefully good, but have a lot of rough edges to smooth out before they earn a crown.

We're 9-1. Enjoy it just a little! Nobody in the league has proven anything yet. We've given ourselves a decent start while we figure out our problems. |

Well if you wanna put it in that kind of perspective.
Detroit may have gotten a quick hot burst against us.
They beat us at Staples and then they got their butts blownout the next game against Phoenix.
Losing to the Suns by 18 while we just beat the Suns by 12
I would say were just about even again as the reminder of the schedule and battle of best continues |

9-1 is consistent enough. Beating the bad teams is just as important as beating the elite teams because the Lakers can lose to any one of them on any given night. However, the Lakers will not have proven anything until they win the NBA championship. This team has already proven they are capable of getting to the finals.

Truth.
This was a fun win, but clearly the 9-1 start belies some issues.
First of all the fact that the Lakers have only played 10 games indicates a slow pace schedule for them.
Secondly, those 10 games haven't been particularly challenging for them, yet they managed to find a way to make them more challenging than they need to be.
They are deep and talented, but rather than exploit that, they get by on it. Meaning that they get by on having SOMEONE have a really solid night, but no one really consistently does so.
I've seen enough to believe this team could be huge.
I've also seen enough to realize that unless the turn the corner they will be a team that doesn't meet their potential. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

Nice win, but I'd like to see us win the next 5 games by 10+ points (and 3 of 5 by 20+).
That's what they need to aspire to as they close out the month. |

Noooooooo way Fred! What Lamar did tonight had no bearing on that game whatsoever!
9-5-2! The man is sorry, overpaid, useless and is only visible every 5 games!
Trade him for a pg! |
What?!? They don't win that game without Lamar.
|
The question is...can he do this more than once every 5 games. |
Give it up friend... Odom has been consistent this season so, you aren't fooling anybody... It's one thing not to like a player but why make things up? We are all watching what is going on... |
Yea...he's been consistently at 9 5 and 2. Today he played well above that...something he obviously doesn't do very often since his averages are well below what he put up tonight. |

I don't know what you're questioning. They just give it to him every time. They never go away from him. SHow some freaking cajones. And when they do give it to him , they just stand there and watch. |
Ok, well maybe you are recieving a different broadcast... That can be the only explanation... |
When Kobe came back in in the fourth quarter and was playing with all young guys, i saw them give him the ball every time down the floor. Am I wrong in that? DId you see something else? |

@ People down playing our 9-1 start. Other than the loss to a very motivated, playing with something to prove, hot shooting Pistons team, our lowest margin of victories has been 7 points, SEVEN Has Kobe even played 40 minutes in a game this season as of yet? Were not even clicking well offensively and were still rolling teams, only two teams that we've played that probably are not playoff caliber ( Clippers and Bulls).
Lakers still have work to do and need to improve in some areas and i feel that we will once the season goes on. |

How you figure? They may be there at the end when it's alls aid it done.
Lakers
Rockets
Jazz
Spurs
Suns
Hornets
Those are the only teams that are locks to make the Playoffs in my opinion. The Blazers and Mavs will be up there fighting for that 7th and 8th spot with the Nuggets. One of them may not make the playoffs, but they damn sure aren't lottery/cupcake teams either. |

Farmar was awful. I don't know what was wrong with him. His upper body didn't seem to want to cooperate with his lower body. |
