The title pretty much sums it up…

In his scheduled pregame media session, Phil Jackson said that Lakers backup point guard Jordan Farmar will be on the active list for Sunday’s matinee matchup against the San Antonio Spurs.

Farmar could play for the first time since Dec. 19 in Miami, when he tore the lateral meniscus in his left knee. He was expected to miss approximately eight weeks after the surgery, but has healed at nearly twice that pace.

Small request from your fellow friend here. I'm at work and won't be getting off until 4pm. If by all means possible, can you guys be a little more descriptive with the posts? I know, weird request but thanks in advance. Go Lakers.

Big game today.

The keys, IMO.

1- Play Duncan straight up. Make him score 30+ if he has to. No doubles. Doubling = open shooters. We don't want them to have open 3's and get hot from there. Thats their biggest strength.

2- Key in on Manu. Sasha must match up with him. We can't let him have that same sort of game. Kobe has to focus better on his defense on Mason. I suspect Parker will have his way, I'm not that concerned. Andrew can anchor when possible, but the key is stopping Manu and their shooters getting easy looks.

3- Odom/Gasol must dominate the 4 match up. Huge part of our offensive game plan should be to get this matchup won by the Lakers.

4- Kobe shoots a good %. Without Bowen starting, they seem less likely to defend him well. Still, Bryant has to play well because of all the shots/possession of the ball he has.

I think even if our offense isn't as good as it was last game agaisnt them, we can win this just by playing better D on Duncan (more 1 on 1 coverage by Bynum) and not letting their shooters get too many open looks.

I'm surprised people are happy about this since LG was calling him out for not running the offense properly and playing crappy defense.

And I agree with Avery that the Spurs are the only team in the West that can challenge the Lakers. They are still within 5 or 6 games of the Lakers with half the season left to be played. They got off to that awful start but they turned it around very quickly.
