A very overpaid Clippers team...

Iono I really like David Lee. That guy is a baller

That's just digusting. I've seen this over other boards as well (Jazz, Blazers, Rockets). I guess it just shows you that these scumbags know they can't beat the Lakers without something unfortunate happening to our team. Being a fan has it's limits and wishing injury upon other players is usually where a line should be drawn.

And then some have the nerve to say Karma is a (bleep)? Heck, if there were such a thing as karma, the entire Spurs roster would've been injured for seasons considering they have Bruce Bowen on their roster.

Indeed. Just like the mythologized NY Point guard. With the exception of Mark Jackson, they've almost ALL been various levels of pariahs, malcontents and absolute losers.

Make no mistake, CA is and always will be the mecca.

We live in Raleigh & my wife is a Knick fan so I watch around half of their games on NBA league pass. I've been a Laker fan since they got Wilt, but I root for the Knicks (if they're not playing the Lakers). Here's my take:

1. The Knick fans whether deluded or not have been hosed by the worse GM-owner management in the NBA.

2. I think they set the all time record for paying people who can't play.
-This goes at least back to when Larry Johnson had his career ending injury. The Knicks GM didn't file the paperwork in time so his multi million dollar contract stayed on the books.
-Allan Houston signed a huge contract, hurt his knee and never played again.
-They paid Larry Brown millions not to coach.
-They probably paid Isahia (sp?) Thomas millions not to coach.
-They paid Jerome James millions and he can't play even when he is healthy.
-They paid Eddy Curry millions and he's always hurt. When he's healthy he plays OK sometimes but he never does anything in the 4th quarter.
-Whatever they paid Stevie Francis it was too much. And he got hurt too and couldn't play.
-Then there's Marbury getting 200K not to show up.

3. They have probably the best announcing crew in the NBA. I watch the Lakers via NBA League pass so 80% of the time so when the Lakers are on the road I have to listed to the "other" guys. Walt Frazier, although he speaks poetically, is a great announcer.

4. David Lee is the real deal.

5. Wilson Chandler, if he continues to improve, could be an all star.

Even though the Knicks aren't very good if they are hitting their shots they can beat anyone.

Just my 2 cents.

I just hate the whole Knicks organization in general. They get too much hype and love for a franchise that's accomplished as much as the Seattle Supersonics.

When I saw post title I was thinking I'd be happy with any kind of win, but now that you put it in that perspective an ass-whooping is in order!

I wasnt gonna post in this thread b/c I could care less about what fans of other teams think but #3 above is on the money. With Chick gone, NYK has had the best broadcasting crew. Wasn't Mark Jackson there for bit too? or was that the Nets?

However...

This is the Lakers Kryptonite.

If he isn't contained this time, our team will leave New York beaten like unwanted stepchildren...

This game will be a big test without Andrew. Most road games will be actually. We are just not the same with no real center on the floor

We should still able to walk away with the W thou. Good luck to the boys

Have you told anyone it's your birthday? Or are you expecting them to forget, even though they do know? It's very 16 Candles, like. Happy birthday.

Knicks this week play Lakers, Cavs and Celtics. There was a story in the paper that it's probably the toughest three-game stretch in franchise history.

I don't want the Lakers to destroy the Knicks.

I just want the Lakers to score more points than the Knicks.

That's all.

To me, the Knicks represent something very important: two easy W's during the regular season.

the Knicks are playing well folks...considering how well they played us in LA, and they have won 6 of last 7. A win would be huge, but not likely in my opinion....I just feel our defense will lack and the Bynum distraction will be too much.

Happy Birthday OP!

X-Factor tomorrow: LO. He has killed D'Antoni teams in the past. This time there is no one of Marion's calibre on their team on both sides of the ball. Here's hoping he continues his good play as of late.

Go Lakers!
