All this going to do is find more ways to blame the team for a lose and cry about how they didn't execute. Watch after game posters posting about how many players screwed up on how many plays |

If I could pick one game that had the perfect execution of this system, I'd pick Game 1 of WCF in 2002 against the Kings at Arco. It was poetry in motion. Every pass, every cut, every screen, and every movement was perfect.
P.S.: I probably should have included page numbers in the table of contents. But if you want to just go to the next section, just do a search for the section title. That's the easiest way, I think.

Hey Wilt, Great Read. I just started , but thanks alot. I'm sure this took a lot of time to put together and this will make the average Lakers fan like myself with limited knowledge on the Triangle appreciate it and enjoy the game more. Props !!! _________________ "There is no such thing as a former Lakers fan. You either are, or you never were."

Wilt wrote: | About five years ago, I wrote an article for lakerstalk about the Triangle Offense. I used my old computer today and I noticed that file just sitting there. So I thought I might as well share it again and to help people understand it.
It's a pdf file. 67 pages with 131 diagrams. I can say with confidence that no one else has ever written about the triangle in so much detail, not even Tex Winter in his books. So what you will read describes pretty much every option in the system.
Here's the link: http://www.sendspace.com/file/8o94kd (you will first see some ad, but you can skip it) | Thanks man, I'll be sure to check it out
this weekend sometime |

If you're still single, how about finding video clips of each option?

Sincerely,
All NBA's defense assistant coaches (for saving them hrs of viewing tapes and breaking down the triangle to this level of detail...) |

I changed the pdf somewhat by adding page numbers at the top of every page as well on the table of contents. It makes it easier this way to find different sections, I think.
Link was updated in the original post. |

Thanks Wilt.
I wonder if I should do a diagram on Phil's defense? "The Red Carpet" and the "step aside & reach".
Seriously though, this is nice to have. _________________ "It's just a job. Grass grows, birds fly, waves pound the sand. I beat people up."-The Greatest |

I still have the 67-page printout from 5 years ago LOL. Ahh, good times.

And that's the thing. After you look over all of Wilt's diagrams, there's counters to virtually everything a NBA defensive coach might think of. And uhhh you get a healthy perspective why it takes so long for players to master it. |

I still have the original saved in 2 places. The level of detail and effort you put into this thing is extraordinary. Thanks again, Wilt. _________________ http://chickhearn.ytmnd.com/
