People had no problems complaining about Bynum being overpaid last year(even though his extension didn't even start till this year), well I'd say Kobe would be far more overpaid, especially in 2 or 3 years.

There won't be another tougher travel night before a game this season.
Throw in the fact the Nugs were still smarting from last year and the continued biased officiating that occurs every time Derek Stafford "officiates" a Lakers game and it is no surprise.
Dec. 11-12th we have a home game and then travel to Utah. Not quite as bad, I guess.
At Utah is always a tough game, especially off a back to back....but flying to Denver after a late start in LA?

Well, going 7-2 without Pau Gasol is pretty good for me. Didn't really like this game, but there will always be stinkers like this one. There were plenty of those last season, yet the Lakers still won it all. It's a long season and the Lakers just need to learn from their mistakes and move on.

Mitch better not sit on his hands this season.. with Kobe, Bynum, Gasol, Artest and maybe Odom trying to play inside, the lakers need spacing with good shooters.. Ariza was money last season.
