Kobe takes care of himself. He's going last a long time. He's going to set that Laker scoring mark waaaayyyy up there.

I'll still rather take Sb shooting threes than failmar or fisher. He's still shooting a better % than both of them.

Lot of good things to takeaway from the game...

Fisher only playing 23 minutes.

Brown playing 26 minutes.

Vujacic playing almost nothing.

Nice to avoid the potential first 3 game losing streak in the Pau Gasol era. Feels good to be back in the W column.

While the Lakers at 8-3 are on even ground with all the real contenders without Gasol, I still think they should have the best record given their schedule (the Houston loss was inexcusable--anyone notice Brooks' 5-18 night tonight?). That being said, and considering the fact they're starting the year a lot weaker than they did last year, it just seems funny that we've beat the two teams with the best record in the NBA at the moment in Phoenix and Atlanta.

And, frankly, made those two teams look like JV squads.
