I would have voted for the Dancing Cucumber but he wasn't an option. _________________ Lakers Gonna Lake |

McKie. Wafer and Sasha simply don't have the experience yet. _________________ Fight On! |

Marcus Banks. The Celtics aren't gonna use him. They had a overload at the point and now have added Dickau. |

McKie. The starting five is relatively young, so there needs to be some more veteran leadership on the floor. |

Kobe...he's about the only person on this team with REAL experience as a plamaker/facilitator/ball handler...
He's the only guy on this team with a strong understanding of the offensive theory...
He's the only guy that has proven defensive ability in the backcourt...PG or SG...
At this point, he's the only real choice... _________________ Build around team players, not ISO players. |

Aaron McKie no doubt.
It seems to me that Phil handpicked him for the Harper role in the triangle.
He can play some nice defense and is experienced but the outside shot worries me a little bit. |

Smush, everyone has to learn the offense. Even for guys like Luke and George it's going to be new and they'll have to learn it since it will function differently than the one we ran with Shaq. Smush is a young guard that has the poential to be a solid roleplayer. I'd have Mckie backing up both the 1 and 2 spots and be the 1 in critical moments (closing out games) over Smush. Mckie should be used similiar to how we used Rob. I just feel that Phil really looks at this team as a rebuilding project, unlike a few posters here that are expecting immediate success. He knows that for this team to have any success the young guys have to develop. |

I agree. Spree is worth the risk. He still can run the floor and be an asset in the backcourt with Kobe Bryant. Someone tell me how 12.8 points a game is a bad thing? Sure Spree isnt what he used to be but if it means giving up Devean George I might have to consider it. |

McKie - he has far more experience than anyone else on our team. Of course if we get Spree I think Kobe should be the starting PG and Spree should play SG
btw - why isn't Kobe an option in this poll? |

Kobe can not be the initiator, the offensive and defensive machine. I think Kobe, last year, tried to do too much and it is time for him to play a role and let others do the same.
Kobe is our star but lets not over extend him...
Ball? Mckie; that is what he is in LA for...lets let him do his job. |
