Good win. I really like the job Mbenga did last night, especially in the second quarter. I love seeing the players with ice on their knees during the fourth quarter. Pau, for example, only played about 24 minutes which was nice to see. He sat the entire second quarter. Thanks as always, DB. |

I love the effort from the wohle Lakers squad to make this easily the most boring game I've seen all year. _________________ Stop crying and start doing.

DB was being very diplomatic, but let's face it, Sasha and Farmar were awful tonight.
Sasha jacked up 14 wide open shots against no defense, and could only make 5 of them (one of them being a breakaway dunk). That's not good enough. In the second half, I kept thinking, "This is a perfect game for Sasha to get his confidence back: he's playing against a team that doesn't play any defense, and he'll be able to get all the open looks he can handle."
BUT HE STILL COULDN'T MAKE A FREAKING SHOT! 2 for 7 on WIDE-OPEN three point attempts, when you're a supposed shooter IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
I know it's not physical, and I know it's not because he's not working hard enough...it's all in his head. He's so tightly wound that's he's yelling at Mbenga because Sasha forced a bad pass in a crowd and Mbenga had the audacity not to catch it.
Maybe Sasha needs to join Lamar in pre-game meditations? No excuse for not knocking down your open three point looks when you're supposed to be a shooter.
As for Farmar, here's a rule of thumb:
If you're going to take it the basket on the fast break, and you're going to ignore your trailers, and the bigs who are cutting to the basket for easy finishes...THEN YOU'D BETTER MAKE THE FREAKING LAYUP!!!
That is all. |

Sasha's problem is his release. He is rushing his shot and the release is two low. Nothing is long. Everything is front or side of the rim. His second make from 3 was a great release. The ball was slightly over his head and not under his chin like most of his shots. He did get rimmed twice last night. _________________ Stop crying and start doing.
