I chalk this loss up to the curse of playing an afternoon game on ABC on a holiday. Rarely turns out well. |

Duncan made THE same move 8 times in à row and gasol didnt do (bleep) about it |
if you ever play basketball, you'll find the game is a lot easier when you can hook your opponent constantly with no call. | Yeah, I thought Timmy got away with a few hooks as well. _________________ “I’m just a basketball player, you know? Just put me where you need me.” -Lamar Odom

Timmy got away with a hook on almost every scoring move... but the refs weren't going to call it yesterday. The Lakers as a team have to counter with a double team, not on every play but enough to pressure Timmy as he puts the ball on the floor. |

Yes, i recall saying before the game that it was ABC, and I wondered which crap ref(s) would show up. Seeing Salvitore and Tony Brothers was no surprise, and I noticed all the hooks Timmy got away with. But we still played like crap. Manu was in one of his grooves, smoothly nailing his 3's and basically toying with us. He is underrated, but more than anything else we emploded. We are our worst enemy, it was our game to win or lose and we lost big time. |

Kobe does this all the time |
no he doesn't. he does do it occasionally when he does spin to drive, but that isn't a huge part of his game anymore. hard to hook when you're shooting jumpers and fading away. |

Kobe does it when they feed him in the post, I saw him do this yesterday. |

Mark Heisler brings up a good question, if the Lakers' defense is designed to drive the opponents to the shot blockers, who are taking the charges and/or blocking the shots?
With Mr. Invisible not being consistent (noting that he has an injuried wing) with being one of the shot-blockers, could using DJ (since he will go after every shot) would be prudent and effective
Hopefully, the Lakers can turn on the switch and play with the passion (at least 50% of what is seen in the Duke vs. Butler game) during the playoffs. |

Wouldn't want to miss that from the rotation, gotta have the no shooter, no defender guy in the rotation, great. |
I can't tell if you're talking about Sasha or everyone on the team. _________________
