They saved the trade talk for the very end, but I got the sense he and Mitch are actively looking for trade opportunities. He said there will be alot of talk during the All-Star break and the majority of the moves will happen the last week. I don't believe that John Ireland report, just based on Mitchs comments earlier this week.

Maybe we can get D Anderson. I hope Phil looks into him as a possibility.

The All-Star game is a good excuse to meet with other G.M.s. Sometimes meetings can be productive.

Was Phil talking about the lakers are broadly about the league? I agree the league-wide moves will happen the last week, but will the lakers be involved in that?

Okay, I think he meant triangle guys THAT CAN HELP US. Not just any triangle guys. Aside from Horry, that is - but he's not leaving the Spurs, so...

There are also a lot of Post-MJ Chicago Bulls players... Brad Miller, clearly Ron Artest, lots of guys. Heck, even the current Kings run a motion offense similar to the tri, so we do have options out there.

Why not D Anderson? He can provide some punch off the bench, maybe 8ppg, and he has heart. He likes Kobe too and he'll give our inconsistent bench some consistent scoring.

Because when he didn't sign with the Lakers he bad-mouthed them. He is frequently injured, and left a good situation in San Antion for a nightmare in Portland. His head is not on straight, and he wouldn't help the Lakers.
