Portland announcers crying about Kobe banking the FT now.

Just curious as to what they said, I've watched games with their announcers, and they're some of the worst along with San Antonio's..

Basically Rice was asking if Kobe was trying to be funny with those FT's, as if he were trying to rub it in. Another good one was after the HARD elbow to McRib's throat, Portland was rightfully whistled, and Rice was complaining about McRoberts "selling it." I don't mind listening to it as long as the Lakers win. Unbearable if the Lakers lose though.

Ha thanks man. yeah I remember when we played them at the rose Garden earlier in the season, I literally wanted to throw my remote at the TV, and they beat us that night I think

They are doubling Sessions...I want to see how he handles it as he starts to get more attention from other teams due to his great play.

Won't matter. If they double him, then one of Kobe, Pau, or Bynum will have better looks. You can't double everybody.

True...wow that's so exciting!! In the Dallas game, Kobe and Pau went off for 30 and 27 and we won in a blowout. Today they didn't score much but Sessions had a 20/10 game and Bynum had 28 points and we won again. FUN!!

Dallas game is the perfect case in point that we have a lot of talent now. At first glance it looks like Bynum had a bad game right? Wrong.

Dallas was intent on doubling Bynum all game and preventing him from scoring. The result was, Pau (and Kobe) had open looks all night long and nearly made them all.

Lakers glaring weaknesses RIGHT NOW:

Kobe's shot selection

Blake off the bench

Not going to worry about Kobe, but Glock really needs time over Blake. Run him with Sessions, and teams will not double. Glock can penetrate, Blake won't even attempt a layup.

Hmmm.., Derek was actually playing for the Utah Jazz in Feb 2006. They played the Lakers on Feb 26, 2006, but Smush didn't get more than 3 assists that day.

Really? This came from Alex Kennedy. I guess he made a mistake.

He's right. In 2006, Derek was playing for the Jazz. The closer Fisher has been to a 20-10 game was on March 11, 1998 (19pts 10ast).

I might be wrong, but I've searched through Lakers games and the last 20-10 game by a Lakers' PG was:

Gary Payton on March 2nd, 2004 with 23 pts and 10 assists in Atlanta against the Hawks.

Wrong, it was The Bride of Chucky (26/11) in Jan 2005, ironically against DFish and the Warriors!!

Damn, forgot Chucky Atkins played a season here . He even had TWO 20-10 games in Jan 2005 (his only double-doubles with the Lakers), but yeah his last one was against Fish and the Warriors

Blake will be fine. He was our best option at point prior to the Sessions trade, and now he's our best option to back up the point. There's a reason why we struggled so badly with him out. Only thing that really frustrates is that he's such a streaky shooter now, but he's a decent passer who looks to get the ball to our bigs consistently, and he's a solid defender, which will be the two biggest things we need from our backup point when Sessions is resting.
