if the Dodgers won the world series.......I wouldn't care if Miami won the NBA title. I don't want Miami to win it, but if the Dodgers won the World Series, Miami can have their NBA title. |

the way I look at it the Dodgers are one starting pitcher or Ace from having a legit chance at the WS.
they have the offense, even with injuries
the bullpen should be good enough if Gagne stays healthy(big If)
Lowe, penny, and tomko are pitching well, but
if they could add one more SP like a Zito then everyone could move down in the rotation: 1. Zito 2. Penny 3. Lowe 4. Tomko 5. Seo/Perez/Sele |

I'm not ready to get all excited about the Dodgers, but maybe it's because I'm not all that up to speed on all the new players. Time was I knew everything about everyone, but now I have a job and family that limits me more to the meager demands of basketball's 12-man roster.
I see a team that started 20-20. Then won 7 in a row. Now is back to 5-6 in their last 11. Is there reason to believe they aren't simply a mediocre team that had a great couple of series? _________________ Nerd rock in progress.

there is a good chance they are just medicore. But their offense is better than years past(thanks mostly to Nomar), their bullpen has some decent youngsters, and both Lowe and Penny are having career years.
Imo their biggest weakness is that they have no true stopper ace. |

If they won the world series I would have to say picking up Nomar and Lofton this past off season was a sucess. |

looks like the blue are going to call up their top SP prospect from AAA to start thurs or fri. should be interesting.
maybe he can be a good 3rd starter behind penny and lowe, since tomko, perez and seo are sucking right now. |

I want to believe but like I've said for almost 3 years now NO GAGNE = NO CHANCE. That surgeon team are idiots imo, how could they clear him to play and almost immediately Eric reinjures the same areas they had operated on! _________________ "Now we're so happy we do the dance of joy."

Picking up Nomar is already turning out to be a bargain and I don't think it takes a World Series win to consider that a success. Also, Lofton has hit well and given us speed. If anything, he's been one of the few consistent players out there.
If you wanna talk about a disappointment, look at Furcal. Definitely not those two. _________________ "It's just fo' decoration! That's it and that's all, man; we do it fo' decorations." -Lil Sis |

Seo got traded. Although he is winless, Billingsley hasn't pitched poorly. They just traded for Mark Hendrickson - he hasn't pitched yet. |

The Angels are red because they bathe in the blood of their enemies.
The Dodgers are blue because their covered in tears from sucking so much. _________________ Go Lakers
