Im a huge fan of comics and CBM's and Ive never watched this show. I heard rumors that they are bringing Dethlok to the series. I might watch if they do.
thats confirmed, they apparently planned for the Mike Peterson character to become Deathlok all along. the episode is coming on Feb 4.

They need to load the show with b\c string marvel hero's like Deathlok, Moon Knight maybe even Alpha Flight and Id be more inclined to watch.
The show started off kind of corny. Like it was trying to appeal to younger family members, so it was toned down.
The way the team was put together was kind of weird. This super government agency taking on this hacker criminal girl like it's no big deal?
But as the show goes on, and more is revealed about Sky, there might be some sense into why she was allowed on the team. When those things come together is may make a little more sense.
I can see the chemistry starting to build in the dialog. It's not quite a Whedon's normal levels though.
I think what they really need is a smart-ass character. Someone that is kind of like what Xander was in Buffy. Sky could have been that character, but her comic timing isn't there. She's not exactly that strong of an actress.
Even if I wouldn't really "dig" her being Spiderwoman, if a pilot was developed just devoted to Skye's character, I'd watch it for sure.
Either way, as long as Chloe Bennett is still around (either as Skye in Shield, or Spiderwoman), I'll be happy. _________________ Just chill and watch the new Dynasty evolve...
Time for the Lakers to create a whole new legacy! We want 10 more trophies boys!
For the first season what they really should have done is have cameo apperances every episode. Have a guest star do a 1-3 episode arc every time. People don't expect the main characters like Thor to drop by, but they have alot of minor characters that could do cameo apperances. Outside of Skye, the other cast are bland. They can still save the series by doing that, or it will get cancelled. _________________ The journey to 17 begins...

I do expect her to have some sort of super powers. The whole 084 storyline would be useless unless it leads to that.
I'm wondering if "death" will somehow trigger some sort of rebirth. She'll flatline and then come out of it a new (super) woman.
One that fights crime in a bikini.
I don't know about who her character may be, but she could play a key role in future Marvel movies if they play their cards right, Marvel has been playing up to the Chinese market and Chloe is known as a pop singer over there. _________________ "Kobe Bryant is the best player in the world and is basically unstoppable when his game is on" - Barack Obama

Now that would've worked, at least they would have retained more of their audience versus the steep dropoff from the premiere. I had no idea who Skye (Chloe) was either, but finally caught the last episode and think I will tune for a few more episodes. Hopefully they will bring in more guest stars post-Jamie to round out the rest of the season.

That was one of the theories thrown out there (and one I ascribed to). After the disappointing explanation of Coulson's revival, they need to come up with more. An RDJ or ScarJo appearance would knock ratings back to where they should be if they can keep up the improved stories.
Absolutely, especially ScarJo, at this point there's still time to schedule an appearance from either of them for May sweeps. It'll probably skew the budget just a tad, but I'm hoping to see some momentum in the next few weeks.

So this episode will have Deathlok but next will be about what happens in this show after Captain America Winter Soldier. _________________ The butter is getting hard.
I like the show, but so many dumb decisions. Facing a bullet proof, super strong Asgardian woman who can control men, why exactly send in your kick ass, highly trained male operative instead of your kick ass, highly trained female operative? Why send any men at all, but especially why send one of your best operatives, who, if compromised, gives the enemy a massive advantage and tactical insight into your capabilities? I was praying it was all part of some greater scheme, but nope, they really were just that stupid.
Jaime Alexander was beautiful and kick ass, as per usual. But the dumb decisions really detracted from my enjoyment of the show. Just too hard to take it seriously.

Saw the episode at the PaleyFest event (which was a ton of fun, Gregg Clarkson is an awesome dude). Pretty good, with some twists (some of which have been pretty telegraphed), revelations, and action.
Last few episodes aka the "Uprising Arc" a tie-in to Captain America: The Winter Soldier dramatically improved the theme of the show.
The show's first 6-7 episodes felt like a teeny "Buffy", but now with the arc, it's becoming more like "Persons of Interest" and everyone's more grown up.
Next week's episode will be the aftermath of The Winter Soldier.
Btw, I think I have a good theory who The Clairvoyant is...
So what happens now? Agents of HYDRA? Agents of Stark Enterprises? Will it be called the Fury-Squad now? With no more SHIELD, I can't wait to see how they move forward.
Also find it funny that as soon as Skye becomes a SHIELD agent, it no longer exists.
Will we be seeing Nick Fury again on AOS or is he gonna be dead to everyone like Coulson is?
Wow, saw Winter Soldier. Very curious to see the implications this has for AOS. They'll be doing more than just cleaning up this time. Really wish they had put in a mention of Coulson in the movie though.
