Third highest rated player in the 2015 draft.
Point guard. 6'5. 6'8.5 wingspan
pros:
Size
Super athletic
Elite rebounder
Fast
Amazing potential, especially defensively
Great on the fast break
Strong handles
Draws loads of fouls and plays through contract
cons:
Terrible shooter
Despite the potential, doesn't quite know what to do on the defensive end
Lackluster facilitator despite solid court vision and willingness to pass
Lousy in the half court
Turns the ball over a lot (reckless)
Your pros/cons just goes in my idea behind "defensive potential".
When I read that about a player, I think "Not good". Why? Because "defensive potential" means you're trying to find him an other positive points, but "bad defender" isn't one.
When I read "defensive potential", that means the guys isn't that much of a good defender. But you try to find him a good point (and maybe he has the lateral movement, the physical abilities to be one, but when you have everything and don't use, it's that you don't care, and if you don't care about defense, you rarely become a good defender)
Got to the basket at will today against Kansas. Even with Wiggins on him. Drew 20 free throws today.
No one has been able to keep him from getting to the basket all year. The only way teams have slowed him from getting there is by going to a zone defense.
24 points on 5-11 shooting, 9 assists, and 5 rebounds today.
He's said he will test the waters this year. Not sure if he stays in the draft. It's hard to get a feel on where he will go in the draft.

He has the template you'd want in today's game: Size and athleticism and handles to impose his will on offense and recover on defense as a rookie. Thing is though, he's so raw that I honestly think the city would eat him alive. I hope I'm wrong, but even with his upside you only take him if you're going to be very patient with him.

Same. Very athletic... but I have little confidence in him running an offense. _________________ "We got a new universe coming and he's going to control all our universes. We're going to put our universes together" - Metta World Peace
He's extremely raw, his time in China didn't help that assumption as he still had trouble finishing through contact and over size in a league that plays no defense and allows scoring high numbers.
And he also got injured. Probably won't return back there and will return to the states NOT going to college and preparing for the draft.
He got little to no development at all this year and will be the rawest prospect in the top 5.
I think Mudiay will be a star. I like his combination of size, athleticism, speed, and ball handling for a PG. He's so good at creating his own shot and getting into the paint, he makes it seem effortless.
